Spain v Georgia Prediction, Tips and Odds: Spain backed to reach last eight

Spain have been a force to be reckoned with at the Euros and they will be eager to continue their winning run when facing Georgia in the last 16 at RheinEnergieStadion, Cologne on Sunday evening.

La Roja defeated Croatia, defending champions Italy and Albania without conceding in the group stage, the first time they have won all three pool matches since the 2008 edition.

Luis de la Fuente's side now face a familiar opponent in Georgia, who lost both qualifying games for this tournament against the Spaniard's to an aggregate score of 10-2.

Spain v Georgia betting tips and predictions

Spain to win and under 3 goals - 11/5

Spain warmed up nicely for the Euros with back-to-back 5-0 friendly victories over Andorra and Northern Ireland and they have maintained that impressive form in Germany, racking up three wins to nil in a row.

La Roja defeated Croatia 3-0 in the opener and then Italy 1-0 before making 10 changes to the starting XI for the Albania clash, which they won 1-0 in another comfortable performance.

De la Fuente's troops have looked ominously good in reaching this stage of the competition and they should have no fears taking on a Georgia side they beat home and away in qualifying, recording 7-1 and 3-1 successes.

Georgia have done superbly to advance to the last 16, as they defeated Portugal 2-0 in the last group match, but this is likely to be one step too far for them in their major tournament debut.

The Crusaders will try and soak up as much pressure as possible but Spain's extra quality should shine through in the end and another comfortable win is expected.

But given La Roja will have bigger fish to fry in the tournament, they won't be looking to overexert themselves and backing under three goals with the victory is the play here.

Fabian Ruiz to score any time - 6/1

Spain have a plethora of attacking options to choose from - Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams and Alvaro Morata to name a few - but the 6/1 available on Fabian Ruiz to net any time is hard to ignore.

The Paris Saint-Germain star impressed in the first two matches, scoring with his one shot on target against Croatia before hitting the target two times from his three efforts in the Italy triumph.

With Georgia likely to be on the back foot and sitting deep, Ruiz will be given more freedom to press forward from midfield and he looks capable of notching for the second time in Germany.

Guram Kashia to be carded - 4/1

Georgia's backs will be against the wall in Cologne and given the amount of defending they will have to do, the chances of some cards being dished out increases.

The Crusaders have been well-disciplined so far, picking up just six yellow cards, but that could change in this last-16 tie and Guram Kashia to be cautioned at 4/1 is appealing.

Georgia's captain, who turns 37 on Thursday, was booked in both qualifying matches against Spain and was also shown a card in a World Cup qualifier against La Roja in 2021.

Kashia has struggled to cope against Spain's extra quality in the attacking third and although he is somewhat protected as one of three centre-backs in the starting XI, it would be no surprise to see him in fall foul of the referee for the second time in Germany.
