Sat rock bottom of the UEFA Champions League table, it’s been a miserable start for SK Slovan Bratislava in Europe’s elite club competition and next they must host Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday night.
While Slovan have been dominating in the Slovakian top-flight, the step up in quality in the UEFA Champions League has proven too great so far.
Losing their opening game 5-1 in Glasgow against Celtic, they then lost 4-0 at home to Manchester City and 2-0 on the road at Girona.
With Dinamo heading to Národný futbalový štadión on the back of an impressive 2-0 win on the road at Salzburg, things could be about to get worse for manager Vladimir Weiss and the Slovakian outfit.
Dinamo Zagreb to win to nil - 11/4
Considering Bratislava’s miserable run of form in the UEFA Champions League this season, it’s hard to see the hosts turning things around on Tuesday and coming away from the game with anything to show for their efforts.
Zagreb will head to Slovakia confident they can land a second win of the new-look league phase after what was a superb away performance at Salzburg.
Keeping the Austrian giants off the scoresheet on their own patch was a testament to Dinamo, who will have been disappointed they threw away a 2-0 lead to draw their second game of the UEFA Champions League campaign against Monaco.
Losing their opening game of the competition 9-2 at Bayern Munich, Dinamo have been showing real signs of progress and they are good value to not only win at Bratislava but keep the hosts off the scoresheet too.
Slovan have only managed one goal in three outings in Europe this term and just don’t seem to have the firepower to trouble Zagreb here.
Sandro Kulenovic anytime goalscorer - 15/8
A player enjoying an impressive season so far, Sandro Kulenovic is certainly one to keep an eye out for in the anytime goalscorer market.
The 24-year-old forward has found the back of the net eight times in 12 league appearances for Dinamo this season, scoring a brace in a 4-0 win at Sibenik last time out.
Kulenovic also got on the scoresheet in their last UEFA Champions League game at Salzburg and looks to be great value to add to his goal tally on Tuesday night against a leaky Slovan defence.
Kenan Bajric to be booked - 12/5
On what is likely to be another busy night for the Slovan defence in Europe, there would be little surprise in seeing Kenan Bajric booked for the hosts.
No player has picked up more yellow cards for Slovan in the league this season than Bajric, who has three yellows in nine appearances.
Bajric has earned two yellow cards in the UEFA Champions League already this term and against a Dinamo side that should see plenty of the ball, the defender might well have to get his team out of trouble with some desperate challenges.
Considering his disciplinary record this season, the odds of 12/5 to look favourable here.
