Inter breezed to Serie A glory in 2023/24 and Steve Davies believes that they remain head and shoulders above their rivals going into the new season.
The Nerazzurri finished a massive 19 points of the chasing pack last season, losing just twice in 38 league outings to claim the Scudetto for the 20th time.
Serie A without Inter Milan - AC Milan - 13/5
Inter failed to defend their title when they won it in 2020/21, but they are unlikely to make that mistake this time around.
Simone Inzaghi's Inter romped to Scudetto glory by 19 points in the spring, leading a field which simply didn't have an answer to the champions.
Their big rivals, the likes of AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli, have all made coaching changes in a bid to narrow the gap or even overhaul the Nerazzurri.
And expect a glut of transfers to be finalised between now and the close of the summer window on August 30th.
But the fact is that Inter were excellent last season and all the pieces of Inzaghi's 3-5-2 set-up remain in place, while a few tweaks have come with the addition of players like Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski.
The reality is the rest have too big a gap to close but the club who is likely to challenge them longest and can finish second once again are city neighbours Milan.
They have had a decent summer on the pitch under new boss Paulo Fonseca with wins over Manchester City and Real Madrid in the US. Clearly they mean little in the grand scheme of things, but hint at real promise, with next generation stars like Mattia Liberali shining.
The rest of the squad is impressive anyway with Alvaro Morata surely a better option than Olivier Giroud in front of an attacking three where Rafael Leao is sure to star.
Fonseca has an issue at right-back with Alessandro Florenzi out for a while, but a back four of David Calabria and the world-class Theo Hernandez either side of Fikayo Tomori and Malick Thiaw is not too shabby.
Fonseca may well bring in new faces in defence because they shipped more goals last season - 49 - than any other side in the top 12. They let in 27 more goals than Inter.
Juventus, now under Thiago Motta's stewardship, are still suffering the aftermath of financial misdealings which cost them a place in Europe last season, while Napoli represent an unknown quantity under new boss Antonio Conte.
Lecce to be relegated - 7/2
Parma, Como and Venezia are the three sides promoted from Serie B, with the Venetian side 4/6 to go straight back down.
Como, heavily backed financially and with the clout to be able to attract players of the calibre of Raphael Varane, look the least vulnerable, while Lecce look like a decent price for relegation.
The most southerly club on the mainland finished 14th last term but only three points above the trapdoor.
They scored just seven goals in the 10 games following Luca Gotti's appointment in March. While he has promised a more entertaining approach, that does come with the risk of taking a hiding or two.
Christian Pulisic - 10 or more goals - 1/1
Christian Pulisic has revived his career by swapping Chelsea for AC Milan where he had a good season under Stefano Pioli last term.
The American attacking midfielder scored 12 Serie A goals in helping his side to second spot and is hoping to be a key figure under new boss Fonseca.
Already it looks as though Fonseca has earmarked the classy 25-year-old for a No.10 role off Morata and that should make him even more of a threat in the opposition box.
The individual goals hauls of plenty of Serie A's stars have been priced up, with Pulisic a fair shout to score 10 or more for Milan this term.
