Roma made the UEFA Europa League semi-finals last term and will be looking to make a winning start to this season’s new-look edition when taking on Athletic Bilbao.
However, unlike the Wolves, the Basque outfit have made an excellent start to their domestic season and a tight contest could play out in the Italian capital.
The match will be shown live on TNT Sports 3 in the UK.
Roma v Athletic Bilbao will kick off at 20:00 BST on Thursday 26th September at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy.
Roma have won only one of their five matches this season and have been victorious in just two of their last six home games, losing three times at the Stadio Olimpico in that run.
The Wolves have an excellent UEFA Europa League record, though, reaching the semi-finals twice and final once in their last three appearances in the tournament, while they have won 10 of their last 12 home matches in the competition.
Athletic Bilbao began their season slowly but have since won four of their last five matches, including each of the previous three.
Goals could be on the agenda in Rome as both teams to score has been a winning bet in 10 of Bilbao’s last 15 matches and the Basque side have netted eight goals in their previous three games.
Thursday’s clash will be the first official meeting between the two teams.
