Real Madrid's quest for Copa del Rey glory this season continues when they go to Real Sociedad for a semi-final first leg clash on Wednesday.

Los Blancos are fighting on three fronts this year as they scrap for the La Liga title with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, while they are through to the last-16 of the UEFA Champions League alongside progressing to the last four in the Spanish domestic cup.

The Copa del Rey is the focus this week as the 20-time winners go to the Reale Arena to take on Sociedad, who are hoping to cause an upset in the last four.

Real Madrid to win and both teams to score - 11/4

There are 20 points and seven places separating second-placed Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, down in ninth, in La Liga so it's no surprise to see Carlo Ancelotti's side as favourites at 9/10 to win the first leg on Wednesday.

However, both sides come into the tie in good form and, while the visitors are set to pick up a valuable away victory to take into the home leg at the start of April, this first game should be a tight clash.

Real Sociedad have won five of their last six matches in all competitions, with Imanol Alguacil's men looking forward to a last-16 Europa League showdown with Manchester United next month after a 7-3 aggregate victory over Midtjylland in the play-off round.

They are also in contention for a top-six league place this season as they sit just a point behind current sixth-placed Rayo Vallecano in the Spanish standings.

Real Sociedad have only failed to score in one of their last eight matches - a 3-0 league defeat at Real Betis on 16th February - and go into the Real Madrid tie on the back of putting five past Midtjylland in that Europa League play-off second leg before they were impressive 3-0 home winners over Leganes on Sunday.

Ancelotti's side, meanwhile, have lost just one of their last 12 games in all competitions, winning nine, and they have scored in all but four of their matches in total this season.

To reach the semis, Real Madrid overcame fourth-tier Deportiva Minera 4-0 away in the round of 32 before being tested by both Celta Vigo and Leganes in the following rounds.

Celta were eventually beaten 5-2 but Real had to rely on three goals in extra-time to progress, while the Leganes tie only finished 3-2 to Los Blancos thanks to Gonzalo Garcia's late goal.

Another victory where they allow the opposition to score looks likely as they prepare to face a Sociedad outfit that has knocked out Jove Espanol, Conquense, Ponferradina, Vallecano and Osasuna en route to the semis while conceding just one goal.

Over 2.5 goals - 17/20

The prospect of at least three goals on Wednesday looks to be high considering Real Sociedad's last five games have all featured three or more goals, while Real Madrid have been involved in goal-laden affairs in this competition this term.

Since 9th February, the hosts have beaten Espanyol 2-1 in La Liga, gone down by the same scoreline in the Europa League play-off first leg to Midtjylland, before the 3-0 league setback at Betis and the 5-2 home win in Europe against the Danish outfit in the second leg.

Last time out, Alguacil's side were comfortable 3-0 winners over Leganes in La Liga and while taking on Real Madrid is obviously a much stiffer test, they should be able to contribute to what is set to be an entertaining first leg.

Aurelien Tchouameni - Over 1.5 shots - 9/2

Aurelien Tchouameni has yet to score for Real this season as he concentrates on his defensive duties in midfield but he has also been getting involved in an attacking sense at times.

The France international had two shots in the 2-0 win over Girona on Sunday and in the previous two rounds in this competition, the 25-year-old was able to get forward a bit more often than usual.

In the last-32 against Celta Vigo, he had one shot on target and also registered an assist, while in the 3-2 quarter-final success over Leganes, Tchouameni had three shots, one of which was on target.
