Rangers are 11 points off the pace in the Scottish Premiership title race but Philippe Clement's men are enjoying a memorable UEFA Europa League campaign.

They won 2-0 in Malmo on matchday one, beat FCSB 4-0 in their last home fixture in Europe and claimed a superb 4-1 away win over Nice last time out, scoring four times in a 20-minute spell either side of half-time.

A 1-1 draw at Olympiacos, last season's UEFA Conference League champions, was another creditable result and the only blot on Rangers' record was October's 4-1 home defeat to Lyon.

Their defenders can expect a stiff test against Tottenham Hotspur, antepost favourites for this competition, although Spurs have struggled for consistency this season.

Backing over 3.5 goals looks the best bet on Thursday given Tottenham's tendency to veer from triumph to disaster.

Ange Postecoglou's men returned from the November international break with a brilliant 4-0 victory away to Premier League champions Manchester City.

Hopes that they could kick on after that stunning result were swiftly dispelled by a 1-1 draw at home to Fulham, a 1-0 loss at Bournemouth and last weekend's 4-3 defeat to Chelsea, in which Spurs had led 2-0 after 11 minutes.

Injuries continue to hamper Postecoglou, whose side won their first three UEFA Europa League fixtures against Qarabag, Ferencvaros and AZ Alkmaar.

Their last two games produced a 3-2 defeat at Galatasaray, where young striker Will Lankshear scored before being sent off, and a 2-2 home draw with Roma, who claimed an injury-time equaliser.

Rangers should be in good spirits after their matchday-five heroics in Nice. They have won all three of their league matches since then by an aggregate score of 10-0 and can contribute to a high-scoring clash with their British rivals.

Dejan Kulusevski to score at any time - 10/3

Tottenham are missing injured forwards Richarlison, Wilson Odobert and Mikey Moore while the in-form Brennan Johnson came off during the Chelsea defeat on Sunday due to illness.

Those issues may mean a start for winger Dejan Kulusevski, who has been largely used as a substitute in Europe this season.

Kulusevski scored Tottenham's second goal against Chelsea and has contributed three goals and six assists in 14 domestic starts this term.

He also had a productive UEFA Nations League campaign for Sweden, scoring twice in six appearances and averaging a remarkable five shots per game.

Kulusevski had an impressive end to the 2023/24 club season and he looks a big price to find the net against Rangers at Ibrox.

Rodrigo Bentancur to be booked - 9/4

Spurs boss Postecoglou has selection dilemmas in defence and attack but his midfield choices are more straightforward as Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma are both serving domestic suspensions.

Both should therefore start in a potentially combustible midfield battle in Glasgow and Bentancur looks a prime candidate to receive a booking.

Tottenham's first five UEFA Europa League games have featured three red cards and Bentancur was cautioned in each of his last two appearances in the competition against Galatasaray and Roma.

He has also picked up four yellow cards in just 538 minutes of Premier League playing time this season and may well add to his tally against Rangers, whose home games against Lyon and FCSB featured 12 bookings.
