Rangers v Ross County: Prediction, Tips and Odds

Rangers will hope to extend their unbeaten run in the Scottish Premiership to eight matches when they host Ross County on Sunday at Ibrox.

The Gers are 10 points behind rivals Celtic in the table, and the Hoops also have a game in hand, which suggests the race for first place could be all but over.

Rangers are 13 points clear of third-placed Dundee United, though, and their recent form suggests they will have too much for Ross County who are nervously looking over their shoulder in 10th.

Rangers v Ross County betting tips and predictions

Rangers to win to nil - 4/5

Rangers' players will be on a high and full of confidence after they booked their spot in the last 16 of the Europa League on Thursday.

Their 2-1 success over Belgian outfit Union Saint-Gilloise was enough to punch their ticket into the next round, and it was a great response after last week's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United.

Domestically, Rangers have picked up of late, having enjoyed a seven-match unbeaten run, including a 3-0 win over Celtic at the start of last month.

While they are 10 points behind their arch-rivals, it is their away form that has been their Achilles heel.

Rangers are unbeaten at Ibrox since March 2024 in the league, a run of 16 games.

Philippe Clement's side have won 11 of their 12 league games at home this season, conceding only four goals.

Ross County make the trip to Glasgow on a three-match winless run in all competitions and they have scored only eight goals on their travels all season.

Rangers have won both meetings with Ross County this season, scoring nine goals and conceding none.

Over 3.5 goals - 1/1

Teams who have played in Europe can often suffer with fatigue and that is certainly something that Clement will look to avoid on Sunday afternoon.

In an ideal world, Rangers will race into a comfortable lead, allowing Clement to rest his key players ahead of the clash with Queen's Park next weekend.

The Gers' priority is in the league, though, and they will be overwhelming favourites to win the meeting in the Scottish Cup next week.

Clement's men have scored a whopping 31 goals in 12 home matches this season in the league, and they know they can punish Ross County, having already scored nine times against them this season.

Rangers have scored three or more goals in four of their last five at Ibrox in the league, which bodes well as Ross County have conceded three or more goals in five away games this season.

Cyriel Dessers to score anytime - 5/6

Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers still has some work to do if he is to finish as the top scorer in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Dessers has eight to his name, three fewer than Dundee United forward Sam Dalby.

The Belgian has been consistent of late, though, and he has been clinical even without playing that many minutes.

Dessers has three goals to his name in four outings, but he played the full 90 minutes in only two of those fixtures.

He scored twice against Ross County in August during the 6-0 win before playing only 10 minutes against them in December.

With Rangers expected to win comfortably on Sunday, Dessers should be able to prosper in front of goal.
