Rangers are preparing for another big night at Ibrox when they host Fenerbahce in their UEFA Europa League last-16 second leg on Thursday night.
The Light Blues have been somewhat Jekyll and Hyde this season and that has continued in Barry Ferguson’s brief reign as interim boss of the Old Firm outfit.
Fortunately for Rangers, they had one of their better nights in their first-leg encounter with Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, winning 3-1 in Istanbul thanks to a goal from Cyril Dessers and a brace from Vaclav Cerny.
Mourinho warned Rangers they should not get too carried away by their first-leg performance but there was enough in that display to suggest the Light Blues can land another win in Glasgow on Thursday night to progress to the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals.

The Rangers supporters were treated to a great night at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium, as they stunned Fenerbahce on their own patch.
Ferguson tinkered with his system in Istanbul and the decision to play three at the back and hit Fenerbahce on the counter-attack worked perfectly.
With Gers holding a two-goal advantage, they might well play a similar system and allow Fenerbahce to come onto them before attempting to hit the visitors on the break on Thursday night.
Not playing over the weekend in the Premiership will certainly have helped Rangers and will have given Ferguson and his team more time to work on how to stop Fenerbahce getting back into this one.
The Turkish giants don’t have a strong record when it comes to away games in the UEFA Europa League, winning only one of their last six away games in this competition.
That should certainly give Rangers encouragement and Ferguson’s side are well priced at 8/5 to claim the win on the night to guarantee a quarter-final clash with either Roma or Athletic Bilbao.
Vaclav Cerny anytime goalscorer - 13/5
One player who thrived at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium with Rangers’ counter-attacking approach was Vaclav Cerny, who bagged himself a tidy brace on the night.
Quickly becoming a favourite amongst the fans, Cerny has impressed since joining the Scottish giants on loan from Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.
Showing that extra bit of quality, especially in the final third, the 27-year-old has been a real attacking threat for Gers this season.
Having bagged himself a brace in the first leg, Cerny is great value at 13/5 to find the back of the net against Fenerbahce in this second leg.
Sofyan Amrabat to be booked - 8/5
Looking at the market for players to be booked, Sofyan Amrabat’s name jumps off the page with odds of 8/5.
No Fenerbahce player has picked up more yellow cards than the Morocco defensive midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Manchester United and is currently on loan at Fenerbahce from Fiorentina, in the Super Lig this term.
Given his penchant for picking up yellows and the fact he might have to put in some rushed challenges to stop the expected Rangers’ counter-attack, Amrabat to be shown a card appeals for this showdown in Glasgow.
