The third round of the EFL Cup has brought with it an intriguing London derby as Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers host a Crystal Palace side slowly clicking into gear this season.
The R’s head into this encounter on the back of a 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday - in which they equalised in the 96th minute after going behind in the 93rd - while the Eagles also shared the spoils last time out, coming from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Leicester.
Queens Park Rangers v Crystal Palace will be available to watch live in the UK and will be broadcast on Sky Sports+.
Queens Park Rangers v Crystal Palace will take place at Loftus Road in London on Tuesday 17th September 2024, with kick-off set for 19:45 BST.
While QPR may be a division below their Tuesday-night opponents, they do boast the superior head-to-head record, winning 38 of 99 previous meetings, with Crystal Palace coming out on top on 31 occasions.
The last head-to-head between the two sides came during the 2014/15 Premier League season when the Eagles ran out 3-1 winners at Selhurst Park thanks to goals from Wilfried Zaha, James McArthur and Joel Ward, with a late stunner from Matt Phillips offering little more than consolation for the R’s.
