Queens Park Rangers and Burnley both have their issues as they prepare to meet in the Championship on Tuesday night but returning to Loftus Road could work wonders for the hosts after their 4-1 loss to Southampton on Saturday.
QPR are still a solid ninth in the standings, just outside the expanded play-off zone, with 20 points from 13 league games.
However, that's a long way above Burnley, who have won only one of their 13 Championship fixtures since being relegated from the Premier League.
The Clarets are in the bottom three again with just nine points after Saturday's goalless draw with Portsmouth at Turf Moor.
Best Bet - Queens Park Rangers to win @ 19/20
Alternative Bet - Paul Smyth to score or assist @ 13/10
Bet Builder - Over 2.5 goals, Richard Kone anytime goalscorer & Jamie Vardy 1+ shot on target @ 49/10
Best Bet: Queens Park Rangers to win @ 19/20
Queens Park Rangers' home game against Burnley is one of the more interesting fixtures on the midweek Championship schedule, but it's tricky to assess.
The Rs have been brilliant in their last two home matches, thumping Derby 4-1 and thrashing Swansea 5-0, but they've struggled on the road, losing 3-0 at Birmingham before going down 4-1 at Southampton on Saturday.
Both of those teams are in the top six, though, and a long way ahead of Burnley, who will arrive in 22nd place.
The Clarets have already made a managerial change this season, sacking Nicky Hayen after a 4-1 defeat by promoted Lincoln 10 days ago and bringing in Fabio Celestini, who was previously in charge at Basel and CSKA Moscow.
The Swiss coach picked up a point in his first game from a goalless home draw with Portsmouth but the Clarets are still to win at Turf Moor as the calendar turns to November.
Their only win this season was a real outlier as they beat Watford 4-0 away three weeks ago, but the Hornets' other recent results mean that form is not worth a great deal.
Burnley have also been hit hard by injuries, with Jacob Bruun Larsen, who opened the scoring against both Watford and Charlton, ruled out for the next three months by a stress fracture and the Hoops should fancy their chances of a third successive home win.
Alternative Bet: Paul Smyth to score or assist @ 13/10
Paul Smyth looked capable of performing at a higher level during his time in League Two with Leyton Orient and he has certainly not looked out of place since moving up to the second tier with QPR.
Smyth, who began his career in England with QPR after starting out with Linfield in Northern Ireland, has been a regular in the Championship for the last three seasons and already has three goals and three assists in nine starts and three substitute appearances this term.
He has played in a more advanced role and provided two assists in the win over Swansea after scoring in the two previous home games against Preston and Derby.
The winger looks well worth backing for another goal contribution against struggling Burnley.
Over 2.5 goals
Richard Kone anytime goalscorer
Jamie Vardy 1+ shot on target
Pays 49/10
Begin a three-leg bet builder on Tuesday's Championship fixture at Loftus Road by expecting an entertaining affair with over 2.5 goals.
QPR's last four games have all had at least three goals, with three of them featuring five strikes. While Burnley began their new era with a goalless draw, that was only their second clean sheet of the season and they had conceded eight goals in their three previous matches.
Richard Kone has really hit form and looks the leading contender to score a goal after notching a hat-trick in the first 15 minutes against Swansea and supplying his team's consolation goal at Southampton.
Jamie Vardy has yet to play more than 71 minutes since joining Burnley, but the veteran has managed just over an hour in his last two outings and should be on the pitch long enough to have a shot on target.
The former England striker bagged his first goal for the Clarets in the recent defeat by Wolves and returned against Pompey after missing the defeat by Lincoln with a back injury.
