Which Premier League players have lost the most transfer value this season?

We take a look at the top 10 Premier League players who have lost the most transfer value this season.

Premier League

• Christopher Nkunku (-€20m)

Signing from RB Leipzig for a reported £52m fee, Christopher Nkunku has rarely been able to break into Chelsea's starting XI, forced to settle for a place on the bench more often than not.

Many expected a resurgence from the Frenchman in the 2024/25 campaign, but he has primarily remained out of favour under Enzo Maresca, seeing his market value drop by €20m.

• Darwin Nunez (-€20m)

Reports suggest that Darwin Nunez is serving his last year at Liverpool this campaign, with interest emerging from the Saudi Pro League.

Nunez joined the Reds with high expectations, but has struggled to live up to his £85m price tag.

• James Maddison (-€20m)

James Maddison has come under some scrutiny this term, with many people looking past the fact that he has registered 14 goal contributions in a Spurs side that have had an underwhelming campaign.

He hasn't had much luck with injuries in recent years, however, and this could play a part in his valuation decreasing by €20m.

• Phil Foden (-€20m)

Phil Foden's 2023/24 season was nothing short of remarkable, heading into this campaign with a market value of €150m.

He has in the past been considered an untouchable asset for Manchester City, though whether this remains the case following a drop-off in form remains to be seen.

• Kevin De Bruyne (-€23m)

Kevin De Bruyne appears to be entering the closing years of his playing careers, having established himself as one of the Premier League's greatest ever midfielders since arriving in 2015.

The MLS seems a possible destination for the Belgian midfielder following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, and, while his market value is €27m, his contract is set to expire in June 2025, allowing him to leave on a free transfer.

• Jack Grealish (-€25m)

Jack Grealish joined Man City with the goal of winning major honours, and while he has achieved this, he may be disappointed with his recent performances from a personal standpoint.

Yet to register a goal in the 2024/25 Premier League campaign, he has seen his market value drop by €25m.

• Gabriel Jesus (-€25m)

Gabriel Jesus's first season at Arsenal signalled promise, but the signing of Kai Havertz in 2023 saw the Brazilian fall out of favour.

It's injuries that have hindered Jesus' playing time this season, however, and he is expected to miss the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.

• Matthijs de Ligt (-€25m)

Signing from Bayern Munich prior to the start of the season, Matthijs de Ligt arrived at Old Trafford with the objective of guiding Man Utd back to where they once were.

Despite that, the Red Devils are on track to record their worst ever Premier League finish, hindering the Dutchman's value in the market by €25m.

• Bernardo Silva (-€25m)

A €25m decrease in valuation for Bernardo Silva seems harsh given all that he has done for the Citizens, though it seems Man City's decline has coincided with a drop-off in form from the Portuguese midfielder.

With Kevin De Bruyne expected to leave this summer, it's yet to be seen as to whether Silva will also seek a move away from the Etihad.

• Lucas Paqueta (-€30m)

Linked with a move to Man City just a year ago, Lucas Paqueta's market value has plummeted after a below-par campaign with West Ham.

A move to Pep Guardiola's side now seems unlikely, though acquiring the services of the Brazilian would appear much more feasible, with the creative midfielder valued at €35m.
