Unai Emery's Aston Villa have been priced up at 7/4 to finish higher than Spurs in the Premier League for the second successive season in 2023/24.
Having struggled at the beginning of last term under the auspices of Steven Gerrard, the Villans' fortunes have turned around markedly since the installation of Spaniard Emery as manager in October, ending up finishing as high as seventh in the Premier League to earn Europa Conference League qualification.
This seventh-placed finish saw Villa finish one point above North London side Spurs in eighth, with the Lilywhites turning to Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou to lead them into next season as the permanent replacement for Antonio Conte who departed in March.
There is plenty reason for optimism for Villa supporters ahead of the new season, with the highly-rated Monchi set to join the club as sporting director from Sevilla having enjoyed a fruitful working relationship with Emery whilst he was manager of the La Liga club.
Propped up by a healthy budget and the recruitment nous of Monchi and Emery, Villa look primed to make further upgrades to an already strong squad in the transfer market this summer.
Spurs look rather less settled in comparison, with incoming manager Postecoglou tasked with re-energising a squad which massively underperformed last season, and perhaps forced to contend with talisman Harry Kane leaving the club amidst significant interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Man Utd.
Aston Villa will be aiming to build on their impressive seventh-placed finish last season in the new Premier League campaign, and are priced at 3/1 to finish in the Top Six and 10/1 to break into the Top Four.
