Scotland suffered a 3-2 home defeat to Poland in Thursday's Nations League Group A1 opener and they are aiming to bounce back against a powerful Portugal side this weekend.
The fixture will be broadcast on ITV4 and ITVX in the UK.
Portugal's Nations League game against Scotland kicks off at 19:45 on Sunday 8th September and it is taking place at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon.
Portugal and Scotland have met only twice in the 21st century with Portugal claiming friendly victories in November 2002 and October 2018.
Scotland's Andy Robertson and John McGinn and Portugal's Ruben Dias and Bruno Fernandes are among the survivors from their last meeting, a 3-1 win for the Iberians at Hampden Park.
The Scots' 3-2 loss to Poland on Thursday means they have won only one of their last 13 internationals – a 2-0 friendly success against Gibraltar in June.
Both of Portugal's knockout ties at the Euros were goalless after 120 minutes as they beat Slovenia on penalties in the round of 16 before a quarter-final shootout defeat to France.
However, Roberto Martinez's men had reached the finals in impressive style, winning all 10 of their qualifying matches and scoring 36 goals and began their Nations League campaign with a 2-1 win over Croatia.
