We take a look at the top 10 players with the highest market value to have moved on loan in 2024/25 winter transfer window

Football

• Marcus Rashford (€55.00m)

Manchester United -> Aston Villa

Aston Villa pulled off one of the highest-profile signings of the January transfer window by acquiring Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season, with an option to buy the forward for £40m in the summer.

Falling out of favour at Old Trafford following the arrival of Ruben Amorim as manager in November, Rashford will seek to revive his career under the auspices of Unai Emery at Villa Park throughout the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.

• Evan Ferguson (€40.00m)

Brighton -> West Ham

Another player in need of a lift in confidence in the second half of the 2024/25 season is Irish striker Evan Ferguson, with the 20-year-old agreeing to join West Ham on loan from Brighton until the end of the season.

Republic of Ireland international Ferguson has been regarded as one of the most promising strikers in English football since bursting onto the scene for Brighton in the 2022/23 campaign, but his form has declined of late - hitting just one Premier League goal in 13 appearances for the Seagulls this term.

Reuniting with his former Brighton manager Graham Potter at the London Stadium, Ferguson will add a much needed fresh attacking option for the Hammers who have been rocked by a long-term injury suffered by Michail Antonio.

• Mathys Tel (€30.00m)

Bayern Munich -> Tottenham

Emerging as one of the most sought after players in the Premier League towards the end of the winter transfer window once his availability became clear, Tottenham were able to win the chase to bring Mathys Tel to North London on loan from Bayern Munich with an option to buy the forward for £45m in the summer.

A highly-rated France U21s international, Spurs boss Ange Posteocglou will be hoping Tel can inject some life into his underperforming side who continue to languish in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

• Axel Disasi (€30.00m)

Chelsea -> Aston Villa

Another deal completed on transfer deadline day, Aston Villa were able to add to their defensive options by capturing France international defender Axel Disasi on loan from Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Unai Emery's Villans were desperate for reinforcements in defence following the departure of Diego Carlos to Fenerbahce and the unavailability of Pau Torres and Tyrone Mings due to injury, with new signing Disasi capable of playing as both a centre-back and right-back.

• Joao Felix (€30.00m)

Chelsea -> Milan

Another Chelsea player Aston Villa were linked with during the winter transfer window, the Blues eventually elected to loan out Portugal international Joao Felix to Serie A giants Milan.

25-year-old Felix has found game time difficult to come by at Stamford Bridge this season amidst the continued sensational form of Cole Palmer in his natural position, with the former Benfica academy graduated limited to just three Premier League starts in this campaign.

• Randal Kolo Muani (€30.00m)

Paris Saint-Germain -> Juventus

Reportedly coveted by Tottenham in the winter transfer window, France international striker Randal Kolo Muani eventually made the switch from Paris Saint-Germain to Juventus on loan.

Snapped up by PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt for £64.2m in the 2023 summer transfer window, Kolo Muani struggled to nail down a consistent starting berth in the French capital - mustering only two starts in Ligue 1 this season before his move to Italy with Juventus.

• Thiago Almada (€27.00m)

Botafogo -> Lyon

Regarded as one of Argentina's most talented young players and a member of his country's victorious World Cup-winning squad in 2022, attacking midfielder Thiago Almada joined Lyon on loan from Botafogo during the winter transfer window.

With the French side currently under a transfer ban, Almada's move from Botafogo was only possible due to the clubs sharing the same ownership, with Lyon in no way financially obligated for the signing of the Argentina international until the end of the 2024/25 season.

• Kevin Danso (€25.00m)

RC Lens -> Tottenham

With Tottenham continuing to struggle with defensive injuries, with Romanian international centre-back Radu Dragusin ruled out for the rest of the season after damaging his ACL, the North London side moved to bring in Kevin Danso on loan from RC Lens with an obligation to buy the Austrian for £20.9m in the summer.

26-year-old central defender Danso previously spent time on loan in England at Southampton during the 2019/20 season under the management of compatriot Ralph Hasenhuttl, but made only six Premier League appearances at St Mary's.

• Julio Enciso (€22.00m)

Brighton -> Ipswich Town

A team in dire need of quality reinforcements in the winter transfer window, Kieran McKenna's Ipswich Town opted to draft in Paraguay international Julio Enciso on loan from Brighton until the end of the season as they battle for Premier League survival.

An attacking midfielder who has shown glimpses of bona fide match-winning quality since arriving at Brighton from Libertad in his homeland in 2022, Enciso started only three Premier League matches for the Seagulls under Fabien Hurzeler this term and should benefit from more game time at Portman Road.

• Nicolo Fagioli (€20.00m)

In one of the most significant Serie A signings of the winter transfer window, Fiorentina signed Italian midfielder Nicolo Fagioli from Juventus on loan with an obligation to sign the 23-year-old permanently in the summer.

Coming through the youth ranks at Juventus, Fagioli is a central midfielder with tremendous potential who has received seven senior caps for the Italian national team to date.
