Peterborough United did a fine job of chasing silverware in the EFL Trophy alongside their league commitments last season and they have a golden opportunity to reach the semi-finals of this season's competition.
The Posh have been drawn against the only League Two team remaining in the Southern Section, Cheltenham Town, and are at home too, where they have performed much better this season than on the road.
Darren Ferguson's side reached Wembley last year despite challenging for promotion and went on to finish fourth in League One, but this time they have surprisingly been dragged into the relegation battle and are in a precarious 19th place in the table, just five points above the drop zone.
Town are 12th in League Two but would no doubt have preferred a home draw as eight of their 10 league wins this season have come at home.
Peterborough to win - 7/10
Other clubs in Peterborough's position might shelve their EFL Trophy ambitions to concentrate on League One survival, but as holders the Posh have more of an incentive to put their best foot forward with a repeat success only three wins away.
Manager Ferguson may also see the fixture as a chance to get his team back on an even keel after a sorry performance in their 3-1 league defeat at Bristol Rovers on Sunday.
That was Boro's 15th loss in 29 league matches and extended their winless run on the road to seven games. They have been a fair amount better at home, though, with six of their eight league successes coming at London Road.
The Posh also have four home wins in this competition, beating Stevenage 2-0 and Crystal Palace Under-21s 4-1 in the group stage, Northampton Town 3-0 in the round of 32 and League Two leaders Walsall 4-2 in the last 16.
They are unbeaten at home in 2025 with two wins and two draws and should be able to come out on top given their squad was assembled with the aim of challenging to reach the Championship.
The Robins have been making steady progress in League Two after a slow start to the campaign following relegation from League One last season.
They have won three of their last five games, but they were all at Whaddon Road and they still haven't unlocked the key to winning on the road, failing to even score on their last three games on their travels.
Cheltenham won all three of their group games before beating League One Cambridge United and League Two Colchester United in their knockout matches, but both of those were in front of a home crowd too.
Both teams to score - 4/5
While Town have struggled to find the net in away games, they could contribute to the total against a home defence who have kept only two clean sheets in their last 12 matches.
The Posh have not been the free-scoring side that they were earlier in the season, but there have been at least three goals in four of their five games in this competition and their forwards should enjoy more success against a League Two defence.
There have been three goals scored on each of Cheltenham's last two visits to London Road and that pattern could continue.
Malik Mothersille anytime goalscorer - 11/5
The Peterborough team has been changing regularly as Ferguson tries to turn his side's fortunes around and Malik Mothersille looks like a candidate to return to the starting line-up after dropping to the bench for the last two games.
Mothersille has played in every match of Boro's EFL Trophy campaign and three of his 10 goals this season have come in this competition, with the first goal of the match against Stevenage and two of his side's goals in the 4-2 win over Walsall.
He also scored in three EFL Trophy games last season and this looks like an ideal game for him to get back on the goal trail.
