Oxford caused a bit of a surprise when coming through the League One play-offs to secure promotion and it will be the first time in 25 years that their supporters have experienced second-tier football.
Des Buckingham’s side will be hoping for a strong start to their campaign in front of their own supporters, but they face a stern test from Norwich, who were involved in the Championship play-offs last season.

The U’s finished fifth in League One last season before coming through the play-offs, with a 2-0 victory over Bolton at Wembley meaning they have lost only one of their last 11 league matches.
Norwich, who finished sixth in the Championship last season, won only one of their final five matches before losing 4-0 on aggregate in the play-offs against Leeds.
The Canaries won only three of their final 14 away league matches last season and both teams scored in only two of their final six outings.

New signings Peter Kioso, Idris El Mizouni, Matt Phillips, Przemyslaw Placheta and Will Vaulks will all be hoping to get their first competitive starts for Oxford.
However, Josh Murphy is a key departure from last season following his switch to Portsmouth.
The Canaries have seen star man from last season Gabriel Sara move to Galatasaray and Adam Idah is unlikely to feature having sat out their pre-season tour of Austria.
Tricky midfielder Jonathan Rowe has been heavily linked with a move to Leeds, so he is a doubt, but Ashley Barnes and Josh Sargent are expected to feature despite having also had transfer interest.
New arrivals Jose Cordoba, Callum Doyle and Ben Chrisene will all expect to be involved.
