Hosts France got their campaign off to a perfect start with a 3-0 victory over the United States on Wednesday and they can all but seal their place in the knockout stages if they can claim another win against Guinea on Saturday.
Guinea fell to a 2-1 defeat to New Zealand on matchday one and they could struggle to keep their tournament alive against a French outfit backed by raucous support as well as boasting one of the strongest squads in the competition.
France v Guinea will be available to watch live in the UK and will be broadcast on Eurosport 1, Eurosport 5 and Discovery+.
France v Guinea will take place at the Allianz Riviera in Nice on Saturday 27th July 2024, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 BST.
France and Guinea have faced off at the Olympics on one previous occasion, as goals from Gerard Hallet, Daniel Horlaville and Daniel Perigeaud sealed a 3-1 victory for Les Bleus in Group A of the 1968 tournament.
In terms of medals, France claimed their first and only ever gold medal in 1984, while they also achieved silver in 1900 - the first Olympics that included men’s football.
Guinea, meanwhile, have only ever participated in one previous tournament - that coming in 1968 - and they failed to escape their group, although a 3-2 victory over Colombia did provide the fans with something to celebrate.

France boss Thierry Henry may look to freshen up his side as they look to go two-for-two in Group A, with the likes of Bradley Locko and Rayan Cherki hoping for their first minutes of the tournament.
Captain Alexandre Lacazette, new Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise and Sevilla defender Loic Bade all got on the scoresheet against the United States and are unlikely to be dropped for this encounter.
Guinea head coach Kaba Diawara will have a decision to make on whether to keep faith with goalkeeper Soumaila Sylla, with the 20-year-old at fault for both goals in their 2-1 defeat to New Zealand last time out.
However, captain Naby Keita should still be fit enough to start for the National Elephants after taking to the field for the first time since March, while winger Aliou Balde is also likely to be included from the off after impressing last time out.
