The Olympic men's football tournament started with a number of surprises, including Argentina’s 2-1 loss to Morocco and Iraq’s 2-1 victory over Ukraine.
That’s put the Argentinian stars up against it heading into their second game of the tournament.
While many of their Copa America winners aren’t featuring at the Paris games, there are still a number of big names facing an early exit and, with Iraq now a win away from booking a spot in the next round, can Argentina avoid another upset?
Argentina’s clash with Iraq will be shown on Eurosport 2 and it can also be streamed through Discovery+.
Argentina v Iraq takes place at Lyon’s Groupama Stadium at 14:00 on Saturday 27th July 2024.
These two sides have met just twice in international football, and never previously at the Olympic Games. They first crossed paths in 1984, with Iraq producing a 2-0 win on their way to winning the invitational Merlion Cup.
They met in an international friendly in October of 2018, with Argentina running out 4-0 winners.

Albiceleste coach Javier Mascherano may consider changes following their surprise opening defeat.
Giuliano Simeone came off the bench to score their only goal of the game, so the Atletico Madrid forward may be in contention to start.
Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez, former Citizens defender Nicolas Otamendi and goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli are Argentina’s three overage players and they should all retain their places.
Head coach Radhi Shenaishil isn’t expected to make many changes following their opening victory.
Expect them to continue with their 4-2-3-1 set-up, however, Ali Jasim could push for a start after coming off the bench to score the winner against Ukraine.
