Notts County have kicked off 2024/25 on a drawing spree and will be desperate to deliver a first win in front of their own fans and Sky TV's cameras on Thursday night against Grimsby Town.
County have drawn their first three league and cup games and also drew the last time they met Grimsby - a match which finished 5-5.
Town head for Nottingham after a 3-2 win over Cheltenham and both of these clubs will be confident they can have better seasons than last.
Over 3.5 Goals - 13/8
Stuart Maynard's Magpies may have forgotten how to win games but they haven't stopped entertaining, and it would be a surprise if their League Two showdown with Grimsby was anything other than a goalfest.
County, early-season high-fliers in 2023/24 under Luke Williams, lost their way in the second half of last term, eventually trailing home in 14th.
They have won only five league games since the turn of the year and neither of this season's fixtures, drawing 0-0 at Tranmere and then 2-2 at home to Fleetwood.
The draw against Fleetwood came hot on the heels of a 3-3 draw against Shrewsbury in the League Cup, a match the Shrews took on penalties.
Maynard took on the County job just days after their amazing 5-5 draw at Grimsby in the middle of January and while the goals didn't flow quite as readily as they had done under Williams, everything about this team is positive going forward and questionable in defence.
Even pre-season was littered with high-scoring matches and while Macaulay Langstaff may have gone and partner-in-crime David McGoldrick the wrong side of 36, they ooze goals.
David Artell's Grimsby were also involved in a high-scoring duel at the weekend with Jordan Davies scoring twice, the second in added time, in an exciting 3-2 triumph over Cheltenham.
They finished 21st last season and will be desperate to improve upon that. They were the third lowest scorers in the section so it's an area they have wanted to address and six shots on target against Cheltenham was a step in the right direction.
County, meanwhile, are already fourth in League Two after only two rounds for shots taken so don't expect many steps backward from them.
Jodi Jones Over 1.5 Shots on Target - 5/1
County boss Stuart Maynard swears by a wing-back system which brings out the best in a player like Jodi Jones.
The Malta attacker has slotted in nicely to the right wing-back role at Meadow Lane and has looked a threat in all three games when on the pitch.
So far, in three matches, he has pinged off seven shots, four of them in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Fleetwood, two of which were on target.
The former Coventry and Oxford United ace will be bombing forward on Thursday and should be trusted at a nice price to get at least another two efforts on target.
Notts County Under 1.5 Cards - 6/5
Cards aren't as commonplace down the divisions as they are in the Premier League with no reason to think County will confound that theory and adversely test the patience of referee Oliver Yates.
Yates heads for Meadow Lane having officiated the Preston-Sunderland match in the League Cup last week, a game in which he produced two yellows, one for each side.
County have collected four yellow cards in three matches so far so the 6/5 they garner under 1.5 against Grimsby looks value.
