Nottingham Forest have enjoyed a superb season to date in the Premier League and will be out to continue in the same vein when they host Luton Town in the FA Cup third round.

Forest’s remarkable campaign continued to gather steam on Monday as they humbled a resurgent Wolves at Molineux, with that 3-0 victory leaving them just six points off the top of the table and well inside the top four.

While Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were dismantling Wolves, Luton’s dismal return to the Championship was taking another turn for the worse at Loftus Road, with defeat to QPR leaving them only two points above the relegation zone.

Nottingham Forest to win to nil - 6/5

Forest’s 3-0 win at Wolves was their sixth successive victory and the last four of these have been accompanied by a clean sheet, including a surprising shutout against the free-scoring Tottenham in their last home game.

The Tricky Trees, who are just six points off top-spot holders Liverpool and who have a five-point buffer inside the top four, have the joint-second best defensive record in the Premier League, and they should be able to carry that defensive form over to the FA Cup against the struggling Luton.

The Hatters were relegated from the top-flight last season but have looked a shadow of their former selves on their return to the Championship, with defeat at QPR on Monday extending their losing streak to four matches.

They sit just two points outside the relegation zone and have the second-worst away record in the division. They have scored just nine goals in their 13 league away games and head to The City Ground on a ten-match losing streak on their travels.

The hosts are justified odds-on favourites to progress on Saturday and a clean sheet to accompany their victory would not be a surprise.

Nicolas Dominguez to be booked - 10/3

Nuno has confirmed he will use Saturday’s tie as an opportunity to give his fringe players some much deserved game time, but he is unlikely to make wholesale changes and versatile midfielder Nicolas Dominguez is expected to start for the 13th time this season.

The 26-year-old was booked for the seventh time this season at Molineux and has averaged a yellow card every 154 minutes in all competitions this term.

Dominguez has been yellow carded 37 times in his last five seasons for Bologna and Forest and he looks a good bet to get into trouble again on Saturday.

Under 10.5 corners - 5/6

Luton are among the Championship leaders for corner kicks this season, but they are not expected to get many opportunities at the right end of the pitch at the City Ground and their recent outings have trended towards the lower end in terms of corners.

Five of the Hatters’ last six games have featured fewer than 11 corners in total, with Luton themselves averaging just 4.67 corners per game in this run.

Forest are in the bottom half of the table for corners won and have also had under 10.5 corners land in five of their last six games, with only one of these fixtures hitting double figures.
