Nottingham Forest v Fulham: Prediction, Tips and Odds

Fulham will fancy their chances of adding to Nottingham Forest's woes and extending their unbeaten run when the two teams meet at the City Ground on Tuesday evening.

The Cottagers came back from behind to break Sheffield United's hearts on Saturday and they face another team at the wrong end of the Premier League table.

Nottingham Forest inched out of the bottom three with their 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace, but they need wins, and they will see suspect travellers Fulham as being there for the taking.

Fulham Draw No Bet - Evens

Nottingham Forest and Fulham had to come from behind to earn draws on Saturday, but will have ultimately been frustrated they failed to win matches they would have targeted.

Forest need to win games at the City Ground to give themselves a better chance of staying up, and they would have filed a visit from Crystal Palace under 'very winnable'. But after trailing to Jean-Philippe Mateta's early opener, they ultimately had to settle for a point courtesy of Chris Wood's equaliser.

Fulham were a VAR call from going 4-1 down with ten minutes remaining at Sheffield United, but survived that and struck twice to draw 3-3. The sense of relief would have been tempered with the knowledge that they would have expected to win at Bramall Lane like so many other teams do.

However, wins on the road are proving difficult to come by for this frustratingly inconsistent Fulham side, a team capable of taking four points off Arsenal and battering Spurs, but also embarrassed by the likes of Brentford, Bournemouth and Burnley.

Marco Silva's men have won only twice on their travels, at Everton and Manchester United, but since Boxing Day have lost just three times and any worries about relegation at the turn of the year have been well and truly eradicated.

The same can't be said of Forest, who used a City Ground fortress mindset last season to get themselves out of danger, but that's less evident this season.

They boast just four home wins this term, three of which have come against Aston Villa, Manchester United and West Ham, though home losses since the end of January at the hands of Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool have all been by just the odd goal.

The reality is a run of one win in ten, plus a four-point deduction, which means their survival is on a knife-edge, and they will have targeted this visit from Fulham as a must-win encounter.

The problem is, teams don't always get what you wish for, and Fulham, playing their best football of the season and finally blessed with a centre-forward in Rodrigo Muniz, who looks cut out for this level, can pile the pressure on Nuno Santo's men.

Rodrigo Muniz to score - 11/5

The deck has definitely been stacked in Silva's favour of late. Willian hasn't played in or starred in as many games since his Chelsea pomp; key men Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey came back from Africa and hit the ground running, and Joao Palhinha's decision to stay at the Cottage in January was a triumph.

Alongside that has been the unlikely emergence of a hero of a centre-forward in Muniz.

Signed from Middlesbrough in the summer, the 22-year-old could hardly get a game in the autumn - but everything has changed since the end of January.

Silva couldn't get in a striker, and Rodrigo started to fire. Eight goals in his last eight games, scoring in six of those, has given Fulham a focus up front and meant the likes of Antonee Robinson, Timothy Castagne, Willian, Andreas Pereira, and the rest can swing crosses into the box with expectation more than hope.

Forest have kept one clean sheet in the league since Bonfire Night, and Rodrigo should be fancied to heap the misery on Nuno's rearguard by finding the net at 11/5.

Fulham to win most corners - Evens

Only Sheffield United have won fewer corners than Forest who, even chasing the game against Palace on Saturday, won just four.

Nuno's men average 3.8 per game. Fulham, in contrast, average 5.7 corners per game and piled up 15 at Bramall Lane at the week, admittedly against a pretty ropey defensive unit in Sheffield United.

The evidence points to Fulham landing the corners match-bet glory at Evens.
