Norwich City v Queens Park Rangers: Prediction and Tips

Norwich City will be out for revenge when they host QPR at Carrow Road in the Championship on Sunday after Rangers claimed their first home win for eight months when the teams met at Loftus Road three weeks ago.

The Hoops moved out of the relegation zone with that 3-0 success and have since climbed to 17th, although their progress stalled with a poor 3-0 defeat at Swansea City on Thursday.

The Canaries failed to win their next three games after the loss to QPR but got back to winning ways at home to Millwall on Thursday to lie in 12th place at the midway point in their season.

Norwich to win - 3/4

City's 3-0 loss to QPR can't be entirely written off as a form guide as it was the first match in a four-game winless run for Johannes Hoff Thorup's team.

However, the away side had 67.5 per cent of the possession in that match, which was played in awful weather conditions, and they should be seen in a better light in the return.

The Canaries have lost just two of their 11 home league games this season and only leaders Leeds United have scored more than their 28 home goals in the Championship.

They had a clear edge as they snapped their quieter run with a 2-1 win over Millwall on Boxing Day and can build on that performance.

QPR have scored only eight goals in 11 away league matches this season and failed to muster a shot on target in Thursday's loss at Swansea City. They could lack the required firepower to beat Norwich for a second time.

Rangers' recent win was their first success against City in nine meetings and the Norfolk side should be able to resume the ascendancy in their head-to-head series.

Over 2.5 goals - 10/11

There were three goals in the teams' first meeting and there could be at least as many this time around with Norwich entertaining their home fans so well this season.

The Canaries have scored 13 goals in their last four home league games, including a 6-1 thumping of Plymouth and a 4-2 win over Luton, and there have been over 2.5 goals in seven of their last eight matches overall.

QPR's last two matches have both produced exactly three goals and, while they have been shut out in six of their last eight away games, their recent win over Norwich should give them hope of some success against them, particularly from set-pieces.

City forward Borja Sainz remains well clear in the Championship top-scorer list with 15 goals this season from a whopping 70 shots.

He has not found the net in five games since notching four across the home wins against Plymouth Argyle and Luton Town, but looks capable of contributing to a high-scoring game.

Norwich -1 on corners handicap - 10/11

Norwich won the corners battle 10-2 in the teams' recent meeting and QPR have continued to record a paltry amount of corners, taking none, three, five and three in their four subsequent outings.

The Canaries have won more corners than their opponents in each of their last two home matches, with six compared to high-flying Burnley's five before having four while restricting Millwall to only two on Thursday.

QPR typically win only just over half of the corners of their opponents in away league games this season and the home team are worth backing to rack up at least two more flag-kicks than the visitors in Sunday's match.
