After prevailing against Icelandic side Vikingur Reykjavik in the first round of UEFA Champions League qualifying, the Dubliners fell to a 6-2 aggregate defeat to Sparta Prague in the second round to drop down to Europa League level.

Midfielder Tamar Svetlin is a doubt for Celje having missed the club's last two matches through injury, whilst defender Damjan Vuklisevic is suspended following his red card in the second-leg of the Slovenians' defeat to Slovan Bratislava in UEFA Champions League qualifying.
