Next Leeds United manager odds: Daniel Farke 2/7 for the job

Ex-Norwich City boss Daniel Farke is once again the favourite to be the next Leeds United manager following the club's relegation to the Championship.

Leeds United are on the search for a permanent manager to lead them into the Championship next season after being relegated from the top flight following a dismal campaign.

Sam Allardyce was appointed Leeds manager in May on a short-term contract, with just four Premier League matches remaining, but the 68-year-old has now left the club after failing to prevent their relegation.

Former Norwich boss Daniel Farke is the favourite to take on the vacant position at Elland Road at a price of 2/7.

We take a look at the full list of runners and riders in the race to become Leeds United's latest manager...

Daniel Farke (2/7)

German coach Farke will carry obvious appeal to the Leeds hierarchy given he was able to oversee two Championship promotions with the Canaries, winning the title in both 2019 and 2021, and the 46-year-old is now available following his sacking from Borussia Monchengladbach at the start of this month.

Farke may view a move back to England with a club of the stature of Leeds as the perfect way of making a swift return to the game, and is currently priced as 2/7 favourite for the job.

Patrick Vieira (11/10)

Patrick Vieira is second favourite at 11/10 to take over at Elland Road after departing Crystal Palace in March.

The 47-year-old had mixed fortunes at Selhurst Park, cultivating a young and dynamic side which appeared to be heading in the right direction following a 12th-placed finish in 2021/22, but things ultimately unravelled last term.

Having also previously managed New York City and Nice, Vieira is an experienced head which is likely to appeal to the Leeds hierarchy who will know how vital it is to get the next appointment right as they strive to gain promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

A natural leader, who won three Premier League titles with Arsenal, Vieira has the personality and passion which is likely to fit in well at a club like Leeds who are backed by a vociferous fanbase.

Gary O'Neil (33/1)

Gary O'Neil has entered the market to become the next Leeds United manager at odds of 33/1 after being sacked by Bournemouth.

O'Neil's dismissal by the Cherries has come as a shock to many having successfully guided the south coast club to safety in the Premier League, eventually finishing in 15th.

This was undoubtedly an impressive achievement considering the squad he had at his disposal at Bournemouth, and Leeds bosses may just view him as the perfect man to help steer them back to the promised land.

Scott Parker (33/1)

Scott Parker is a manager with two Championship promotions on his CV, winning the play-offs as Fulham boss in 2020 and finishing runner-up when in charge of Bournemouth two years later.

The former England international will be keen to kickstart his managerial career after an ill-fated spell in charge of Club Brugge in Belgium ended after just three months in charge, with the ex-West Ham favourite overseeing just two wins from twelve matches.

The 42-year-old's work with Fulham and Bournemouth still deserves respect, however, and Leeds may see Parker as the ideal fit to lead them back to the promised land at the first time of asking.

Parker is currently priced at 33/1 to be the next Leeds manager.

Carlos Corberan (33/1)

West Brom manager Carlos Corberan was previously linked with the Leeds job following Jesse Marsch's dismissal at Elland Road in February, with the Spaniard having elevated West Brom from the relegation places to the top half after taking over at the Hawthorns in October.

There is already a pre-existing link between Leeds and the 40-year-old, with Corberan working under popular ex-Whites manager Marcelo Bielsa as the club's Under-23s boss and first team coach as they earned promotion back to the Premier League in 2020 after a 16-year absence from the top-flight.

His subsequent work as a manager in his own right at Huddersfield, who he guided to third place and the Championship play-off final in 2022, and his exploits with West Brom last season, have earned Corberan a reputation as one of the best young coaches in English football.

Corberan is currently 33/1 to be the Leeds manager on 1st September.

Lee Bowyer (33/1)

A popular former player at Elland Road, Lee Bowyer is priced at 33/1 to be the man charged with helping restore Leeds United back to the Premier League at the first attempt next season.

Having managed Charlton Athletic and Birmingham City so far in his fledgling managerial career, winning the League One play-offs as Addicks boss in 2019, the Leeds job would certainly be a step up for the 46-year-old.

Bowyer's status at the club at which he made over 250 appearances between in 1996 and 2003 is so esteemed that he would certainly command respect in the changing room, and he is a figure which could really galvanise the Leeds support.

Raul Gonzalez (33/1)

Yes, you read that right...

Real Madrid and Spain icon Raul is a shock name in the frame for the vacant managerial position at Leeds.

The legendary striker is regarded as a promising young coach, and a potential future manager at Los Blancos, with a stint at Elland Road perhaps viewed as a fitting first test in his fledgling career in the dugout.

Raul is currently 33/1 to be the next Leeds manager
