Newcastle are finishing the Premier League season strongly and the Magpies are targeting a 13th home victory of the 2023/24 campaign when they host Brighton on Saturday.
Newcastle to win & over 3.5 goals - 7/4
Newcastle's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League for the second season running were undermined by injuries and a run of six defeats in seven Premier League matches in December and January.
However, the Magpies are finishing the season in decent shape and a home win over Brighton would keep alive their hopes of overhauling fifth-placed Tottenham.
Eddie Howe's men started the campaign with a 5-1 victory over Aston Villa, also thumping Sheffield United 8-0, Crystal Palace 4-0 and Chelsea 4-1 before the start of November.
And Newcastle have rediscovered their scoring touch since the start of 2024, racking up 25 goals in eight home league matches.
Those results include a 4-4 draw with Luton and a 4-3 win over West Ham, who led 3-1 until the 77th minute, but Newcastle have been more ruthless in recent weeks.
They thrashed Champions League hopefuls Spurs 4-0 on 13th April, beat the relegated Blades 5-1 in their last home match and won 4-1 away to Burnley, who had been in good form themselves, last weekend.
Howe's positive team selection, pairing Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson up front in a 4-4-2 formation, paid off handsomely at Turf Moor and Newcastle should be backed to beat Brighton in a game featuring over 3.5 goals.
That has been a winning bet in 10 of the Magpies' 17 league victories this season and they have also beaten Wolves and Fulham 3-0 at St James' Park.
Brighton edged past Villa 1-0 at the Amex Stadium last time out but they had lost three of their previous four league matches, conceding three goals against Arsenal and Bournemouth and four against Manchester City.
The Seagulls have lost all six of their away trips to teams in the top seven and they were beaten 4-1 at Newcastle towards the end of last season.
Bruno Guimaraes to score or assist - 13/10
Midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has played a big part in Newcastle's impressive recent form and he should be backed to make an impact on Saturday.
The Brazil international's goal at Burnley last weekend was his third in his last five league appearances and he also set up Isak's second goal in April's home win over Tottenham.
Guimaraes has claimed four assists in his last 10 league games at St James' Park and, having had four shots against Sheffield United on 27th April, he looks a good bet to register a 13th goal contribution of the league campaign.
Under 1.5 Newcastle cards - 5/4
Only six clubs, including the top three, have picked up fewer yellow cards than Newcastle's 67 in 35 Premier League matches this season and the home players should be able to stay out of trouble this weekend.
Anthony Gordon was shown a late red card in the dramatic win over West Ham at the end of March but the Magpies have not received a booking in three subsequent home league games against Everton, Tottenham and Sheffield United.
Newcastle amassed only four yellow cards in their first four home matches of 2024, against Manchester City, Luton, Bournemouth and Wolves, so under 1.5 cards for the hosts looks a good bet.
