Monaco v Paris Saint-Germain

There is a fabulous Friday offering from Ligue 1 as Monaco host Paris Saint-Germain at the Stade Louis II.

The hosts have failed to win their last four at home, a run that has prevented them from pushing Les Parisiens in the standings.

Monaco sit third on 41 points, with PSG clear at the top on 54 and Brest providing their nearest challenge on 43.

Les Rouge et Blanc will look to avoid falling further behind the Breton outfit, who are currently priced at 4/7 to beat Le Havre on Sunday, while PSG will be keen not to drop points as they push for a sixth title in seven seasons.

Monaco v Paris Saint-Germain betting tips and predictions

PSG to win and Over 3.5 goals @ 10/3

Last Sunday's 3-2 win at Lens moved Monaco up to third following another tough day for Nice, who drew 0-0 with bottom club Clermont and face another awkward tie at Toulouse in their next match.

PSG were fortunate to draw 1-1 with in-form Rennes, Goncalo Ramos netting a controversial stoppage-time equaliser from the penalty spot after replacing Kylian Mbappe on 65 minutes to extend their unbeaten run to 19 games in all competitions.

Excitement follows these sides around, and goals look inevitable, with Monaco's 44 Ligue 1 strikes only inferior to the champions' 54.

PSG won November's reverse game 5-2, while Monaco triumphed 3-1 when the pair met last season at the Stade Louis II. In fact, over 2.5 goals have been scored in 10 of the previous 11 meetings in Fontvieille.

Adi Hutter's hosts should grab a goal, but their home form is a real issue, and PSG, who have failed to win a league game in the Principality since January 2020, can break their duck with an entertaining victory.

Wissam Ben Yedder anytime goalscorer @ 6/4

Striker Wissam Ben Yedder has been the scourge of Friday's visitors in recent meetings at the Stade Louis II.

The 33-year-old has scored four times in the pair's last two games in the Principality and has netted 11 goals in Ligue 1 this season.

Having scored 18 or more in every season since he swapped Toulouse for Sevilla in 2016 and then joined Monaco in 2019 - with his peak numbers being 30 in his final year in Spain and then 32 for Les Monégasques in 2021/22 - there is an argument that his tally of 19 France caps does not reflect his talent.

Just behind the generation of Karim Benzema and Olivier Giroud and a similar age to Antoine Greizmann, it is understandable why he has not always got the recognition he deserves.

While his international career might be behind him, Ben Yedder remains an excellent club-level player and can prove himself again by scoring on Friday.

Kylian Mbappe - Over 4.5 Shots @ 13/8

Most football fans' earliest memories of Mbappe are of him bursting onto the scene as a teenager during Monaco's magnificent run to the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2016/17.

While colleagues such as Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko departed for other leagues, the man nicknamed 'Donatello' by Presnel Kimpembe due to his supposed likeness to the character from the

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, stayed in Ligue 1, joining the defender at boyhood club PSG.

With this set to be his final season at the Parc des Princes before completing his long-anticipated move to Real Madrid, his farewell tour is underway.

The 25-year-old will be keen to end his time with Les Parisiens by lifting trophies, and his previous allegiance to Monaco means he has extra motivation to shine on what could prove his final competitive outing at the Stade Louis II.

Mbappe currently averages 4.7 shots per game, and with him just 8/15 to score or assist, it might be more fruitful to back him to have over 4.5 shots in the game.

The forward's statistics reflect his optimism, and he may also feel he has a point to prove after being taken off against Rennes, something Luis Enrique hinted could become a regular feature as he prepares his side for their superstar's exit.
