Championship outfit Millwall are close to completing a £3m deal to bring Peterborough United winger Kyrell Lisbie to south London.
Alex Neil has been tracking the Posh winger in recent weeks and reports now suggest the clubs are in advanced talks about a deal for the former Braintree Town wide man.
Millwall finished third in the Championship last season, missing out on automatic promotion by just one point, before losing their play-off semi-final second leg 2-0 against Hull City at The Den after a scoreless opening game on Humberside.
Neil, now preparing to start his second full season as Lions boss, is busy adding to his squad ahead of another tilt at securing a top flight return for just the second time in the club's history. Millwall were relegated from the old First Division in 1990.
Lisbie joined Peterborough last summer after impressing for Braintree Town in the National League.
He had spent time on the books of Leyton Orient's youth system but was a non-league player from the start of the 2022/23 season.
His efforts with Braintree Town, where he played alongside his brother, Kyreece, attracted interest from Peterborough and he made the move to the League One side in May 2025 on a three-year deal.
He made 44 appearances for Posh last season, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists, impressing the London Road club enough to see them offering a new, improved four-year contract in April.
The left-sided winger appears unlikely to be seeing that contract out, however, with Millwall expected to complete a deal in the coming days.
The Londoners are set to offer an initial £3m up front, with add-ons that could see Posh pocketing as much as £6m in time.
Lisbie's season at Peterborough was impressive on a number of fronts. It was his first in the Football League and it also came in a side that struggled, finishing 18th in the third tier.
His move to London Road came off the back of scoring 17 goals in all competitions for Braintree back in 2024/25.
His form with Posh last season means Lisbie has been touted this summer as one of the potential best signings below Championship level. The 22-year-old is now on the verge of getting his chance to shine on an even bigger stage.
Sky Sports reporter Peter Smith has suggested that Lisbie has undergone a Millwall medical, with only the final touches left to be completed on paperwork before the deal is completed.
Millwall have been doing some League One shopping already this summer, sealing a move for midfielder Jenson Metcalfe from Bradford City in June.
Neil has also brought in Mathis Servais from Belgian side KV Mechelen, Tairyk Arconte from French second tier outfit Rodez AF, Elkan Baggott from Ipswich Town and free agent Mark Sykes from Bristol City.
Loanee Thierno Ballo was not offered a permanent switch to The Den after a short stint from Wolfsberger and that left a vacant spot on the left wing for Neil to fill.
Peterborough meanwhile will be pleased to turn a major profit on Lisbie within 12 months of signing the player, another nod to the recruitment policy at Posh under chairman Darragh MacAnthony.
Millwall, who are 8/1 to be promoted from the Championship this season, are also being linked with a move for Celtic forward Johnny Kenny. The 23-year-old scored six times on loan at Bolton Wanderers last season as the Trotters earned promotion to the Championship.
Kenny doesn't appear likely to force his way into the plans of Martin O'Neill in Glasgow and the Scottish champions are ready to listen to offers.
A potential return to Bolton isn't out of the question but summer reports have also suggested Millwall are monitoring the Republic of Ireland international's situation.
