Manchester United beat Premier League champions Manchester City in May's FA Cup final and the Red Devils will be targeting another derby victory in Saturday's Community Shield.
The Community Shield will be shown live on ITV1 in the UK.
The match kicks off at 15:00 on Saturday 10th August and it is taking place at Wembley Stadium in London.
The Manchester rivals have met 193 times in competitive fixtures with United winning 79 of those games to City's 61.
The most recent clash came in last season's FA Cup final at Wembley, where goals from youngsters Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo gave United a surprise 2-1 victory.
City had sealed their sixth Premier League title in seven seasons the previous week and they did the double over United in 2023/24, winning 3-0 at Old Trafford and 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
City stars Phil Foden and Erling Haaland each scored three goals across last term's two league meetings with the Red Devils and they also claimed hat-tricks in a 6-3 win over United in October 2022.
