Manchester United take on rivals Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday but next week’s Europa League second leg against Real Sociedad may well be their priority.
Arsenal also have an upcoming European tie to think about but the North Londoners will feel they have all-but completed the job after thrashing PSV 7-1 in the Netherlands.
The Premier League title looks unlikely for the Gunners but they won’t be ready to give up the fight just yet with a game in hand and a trip to Liverpool to come later in the season.
Arsenal To Win And Both Teams To Score - 10/3
Manchester United and Arsenal share one of the fiercest rivalries in the Premier League but the Londoners have had the edge over the last few seasons. United did claim an FA Cup win over Arsenal the last time these sides met but they needed penalties to get the job done, and the Gunners have won each of the last four league meetings.
Visiting boss Mikel Arteta has the freedom to pick his best XI here with what looks an unassailable six-goal UEFA Champions League lead over PSV and home advantage in the second leg.
In contrast, counterpart Ruben Amorim has a balancing act on his hands as United’s Europa League tie with Real Sociedad is finely poised after a 1-1 draw at the Anoeta, and that competition is their only chance of silverware this season.
Arsenal have three wins in their last five league games and have won six of their last nine matches away from home across all competitions. The visitors should be able to overcome a United side who have lost five of their last seven Premier League games at Old Trafford, but the hosts can at least strike in defeat as Arsenal have conceded in 12 of their last 15 away games across all competitions.
Martin Odegaard To Score or Assist - 13/10
Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard hasn’t been able to reach the same kind of numbers in goal contributions that he did last year just yet, but after an injury-hit campaign he could be ready to kick on over the business end of the season.
The Norwegian playmaker scored twice and provided one assist in the demolition job on PSV, meaning he now has four goals and two assists over his last 10 games.
Odegaard has been productive in some big games this season despite his modest goals and assists tally. He has scored against Manchester City and has assists against top-four rivals Chelsea and Nottingham Forest, as well as one in a north London derby, and he can play his part in helping Arsenal strike at Old Trafford either by scoring or assisting a team-mate.
Casemiro To Be Booked - 15/8
Midfielder Casemiro should keep his place in the United line-up, particularly as Amorim has indicated he won’t take any risks on players carrying knocks, and the Brazilian is a clear contender for a booking.
Casemiro has been booked only twice in the Premier League but he has picked up four yellow cards in his last 15 appearances across all competitions, a number of which saw him introduced from the bench. He is averaging 1.0 fouls per 90 minutes in this competition.
The former Real Madrid midfielder has tended to struggle more in quicker games and there is plenty of pace in this Arsenal team. That could result in a card.
