Manchester City suffered a significant injury blow in their stalemate with Liverpool after it was revealed Ederson will miss a month of action, with Stefan Ortega to deputise in his absence.

Jack Grealish is the only other absentee for the defending champions.

Newcastle United team news

Newcastle have been plagued by injuries this term and Anthony Gordon is the latest casualty, having sustained a knee issue in the defeat to Chelsea.

Dan Burn was withdrawn due to a knock in that fixture but is expected to return for the trip to Manchester.
