Manchester City will be looking to cap pretty much the perfect week by seeing off bottom club Southampton to maintain the pressure on their Premier League title rivals.
However, Pep Guardiola knows Saints should be up for the fight despite being left firmly in the bottom three after blowing a 2-0 lead at home to Leicester City last Saturday.
Manchester City & Under 3.5 Goals - 6/4
City are 1/9 shots against Southampton at the Etihad and there probably won't be too many people looking to take them on given the way these sides' seasons are developing.
The Citizens take to the pitch unbeaten in all competitions and full of confidence after demolishing Sparta Prague 5-0 in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
Saints, meanwhile, have yet to win a game on their return to the top division and when they got within sniffing distance of breaking that duck at home to Leicester last week they managed to turn a 2-0 lead into a devastating 3-2 loss.
All roads point to a City win, but not necessarily the humiliation that many might predict.
Russell Martin, given a coded vote of confidence by the St Mary's board this week, has got his team playing some decent possession-based stuff - their problem is they are making too many mistakes.
But when they've been more organised against higher-quality opposition they haven't been railroaded, for example the opening-weekend 1-0 loss at Newcastle and the 3-1 defeat at Arsenal where they had the temerity to go ahead.
Martin is being criticised for his stubborn approach, but surely not even he is going to take any chances at the Etihad and instead look at how Wolves last Sunday almost halted the City winning machine through rock-solid defending, a great strategy and options on the counter.
That was the admirable Gary O'Neil at his best and Wolves were arguably unlucky to lose 2-1 given the manner of John Stokes' late winner, although Saints don't have the same pace outlets that Wolves possess.
But Southampton can at least man the barricades in defence properly and be mildly encouraged by the fact that no side has scored more than three goals against them this season.
City will, of course, pile up the chances, but Guardiola's playing resources are being stretched by workload and injuries.
It's also worth noting that of their seven domestic wins this season, four have been by the odd goal and four have been in games featuring three goals or less, so a City win and Under 3.5 goals at 6/4 might be the value.
Matheus Nunes Over 0.5 Shots on Target - 11/10
Almost by accident, Matheus Nunes has become a key figure for the coming weeks and he looks ready to take his chance.
Guardiola is without Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne from midfield and wide stars Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku, which means Nunes is going to get game time.
Mateo Kovacic will have defensive anchorman duties against the Saints, though Nunes, after starring in Wednesday's 5-0 thumping of Sparta, can operate ahead of the Croatian ace.
And, of course, against Southampton - as was the case against Sparta - that is going to mean long periods camped around the away penalty area and shots being rained in.
City had 22 shots against Sparta with Nunes having one of those, the penalty he dispatched to complete the scoring and he is 11/10 to have one shot on target against Southampton which is a nice price.
Ryan Manning to be booked - 2/1
Ryan Manning picked up his first yellow card of the season in last week's 3-2 defeat by Leicester, cautioned for a fairly innocuous challenge.
The full-back is no stranger to having his name taken - he got cautioned nine times last season and 11 the year before, in his final campaign with Swansea.
Saints' stars will be putting in tackles and it won't take too many mistimed connections before referee Tony Harrington reaches for his pocket.
