The game of the weekend in the Premier League takes place on Saturday evening, when fifth-placed Manchester City take on fourth-placed Chelsea.
Both teams have been unpredictable in recent weeks and City go into this clash off the back of another damaging UEFA Champions League defeat.
Chelsea, who have failed to win any of their last three away games, have had a free midweek to prepare for their trip to the Etihad Stadium.
Even at this stage of the season, this could be crucial in the battle to secure a top-four finish, with just two points separating the two sides.
Phil Foden – Anytime Goalscorer – 11/5
After struggling to make an impact at Euro 2024, Phil Foden has not been the influential figure he so often is for Manchester City.
The 24-year-old had not scored a league goal until mid-December, coinciding with City’s struggles when they lost five of seven matches.
Foden has found his scoring boots though over the last month, after scoring a late consolation in the 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa on 12th December.
The England international notched his second of the season in the 4-1 home win over West Ham at the turn of the year and has added another four since then.
Foden bagged a brace in the 2-2 draw at Brentford and followed that up with another two in last weekend’s 6-0 victory at Portman Road against Ipswich.
His last strike against Chelsea came back in January 2023, in a 4-0 FA Cup victory, and in the goalscoring form he is currently in, Foden will be confident of adding another on Saturday.
Over 3.5 Goals – 1/1
These two teams are the joint-third top goal scorers in the Premier League, scoring 44 times in 22 matches to date.
It’s a sign of City’s struggles this term that they have conceded two more goals than Saturday’s opponents, with Pep Guardiola’s men conceding in four of their last five home league matches.
There have been plenty of goals in recent City games, with four or more in their last five matches in all competitions.
The latest setback came on Tuesday, when they went 2-0 up at Paris Saint-Germain, before eventually suffering a 4-2 defeat and putting their UEFA Champions League future in doubt.
It’s been a similar story with Chelsea, with two or more goals in each of their last six matches – which include a 3-1 win over Wolves last time out - and all but two of their games in all competitions so far this season.
The Premier League shots on target stats also indicate that goals should be on the menu on Saturday, with three players inside the top five.
Erling Haaland – who has 17 goals to his name – leads the way with 50 strikes on target, while Chelsea pair Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson sit third and fourth respectively, with 34 and 29 efforts on target respectively.
It’s also worth noting that both teams have defensive injury issues ahead of the 17:30 GMT kick-off at the Etihad.
Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake are both rated doubtful for the hosts, while Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile could both miss out for Chelsea.
Tosin Adarabioyo to be booked – 7/2
Chelsea are currently sat second in the Premier League yellow card standings, with 64 cautions so far this season.
The Blues look more combative under Enzo Maresca and with City expected to put them under pressure for periods, more cards look likely on Saturday.
Maresca went with Trevoh Chalobah and Tosin Adarabioyo as the two centre-backs against Wolves, with Tosin getting his name on the scoresheet.
The former Fulham man was also cautioned in that victory and that takes his yellow card tally to two for the season.
The 27-year-old will be in a physical battle with Haaland to try and keep the Norwegian at arm's length and that could see him picking up another caution.
