After a month of inactivity, Dortmund were slow into their stride against Fluminense and had their goalkeeper, Gregor Kobel, to thank for preserving a clean sheet and a share of the spoils.

However, Niko Kovac's side should be better for the experience and can perform to a higher level against Mamelodi Sundowns in a game which could be key to both sides’ hopes of progressing to the knockout rounds.

The 29-year-old was kept largely quiet by Fluminense, but he should get more goalscoring opportunities against Mamelodi Sundowns, who are likely to be pushed back for long periods.

Sundowns are likely to defend deep and it may take a moment of magic to open them up.

Dortmund's Pascal Gross is more precise than most with his passes and looks overpriced to lay on a goal for one of his team-mates.
