Top meets bottom at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando with already-qualified Flamengo aiming to maintain a 100 percent winning record and already-eliminated Los Angeles bidding to avoid a trio of defeats.
Flamengo have sailed safely through to the round of 16 as sectional winners after victories over Esperance de Tunis (2-0) and Chelsea (3-1).
But the Brazilians’ fortunes have contrasted sharply with Los Angeles FC, who have had to stomach losses to Chelsea (0-2) and Esperance de Tunis (0-1).

Best Bet: Los Angeles FC to win @ 3/1
Los Angeles FC were hoping to make more of an impression at the Club World Cup but they can at least put some points on the board by defeating Flamengo in their final match of the tournament.
It has been a tough learning curve for the Black and Gold, who are still searching for their first points and goals of the tournament.
But head coach Steve Cherundolo will be targeting a positive performance in the third game and is unlikely to make wholesale changes.
While Los Angeles FC should be close to full strength, their opponents are likely to take the opportunity to rest first-choice players.
Flamengo have qualified with a game to spare and head coach Filipe Luis will already be thinking about getting preparation right for the knockout rounds.
There are some decent players waiting in the wings but Flamengo’s second string may struggle to add to the points total.
Dan Childs explains:
Los Angeles FC were hugely disappointed with their 1-0 loss to Esperance de Tunis, but they can play without pressure in the final match and may be capable of winning. The MLS side should remain fully committed and may have the edge over Flamengo, whose focus will have shifted to the knockout rounds.
Los Angeles FC’s star striker Denis Bouanga had high hopes of making an impression at the Club World Cup and can get his name on the scoresheet in his third and final appearance of the competition.
Bouanga showed flashes of his pace and power in the losses to Chelsea and Esperance de Tunis and may be ready to make the difference against a largely second string Flamengo side with one eye on the knockout rounds.
There should be no lack of motivation from LAFC players, including tough tackling USA international Timothy Tillman, who will be aiming to win his midfield battles.
Tillman has been carded in three of his last six matches and looks overpriced for another caution.
Apart from pushing for the win, LAFC will be looking to entertain their fans by scoring a few goals.
Both teams can afford to play in a more relaxed manner and that should increase the chances of a high-scoring outcome.

Dan Childs adds:
A high-scoring outcome is expected with both teams with the luxury of playing without pressure. Already-eliminated LA FC have no reason to hold back and their competitive edge could be epitomised by Tillman, while Denis Bouanga is their most dangerous forward and is overpriced to get on the scoresheet.
