Manchester United Women have emerged as champions Chelsea's biggest rivals for the WSL title and they will not want to let up against Liverpool.
However, the Reds have found some form themselves and pulled off a memorable Women's FA Cup win over Arsenal last week.
Under 2.5 goals - 9/10
Man Utd can narrow Chelsea's lead at the top of the Women's Super League to five points on Friday if they can get the better of Liverpool at Anfield, but it could prove to be a tight encounter.
Marc Skinner’s Red Devils have won 11 of their last 12 matches and their record of 10 clean sheets in 15 league matches is the envy of the division.
They have conceded just six goals in the WSL this season, but they face a team who have found some form themselves and will be spurred after winning their last two games under interim manager Amber Whiteley - especially a 1-0 win at Arsenal in the Women's FA Cup last week.
Goals have been admittedly difficult to come by for the Reds - the sixth-placed Anfield outfit have scored just 14 goals this term - so fewer than three goals looks an attractive price for Friday’s encounter.
Melvine Malard to score at any time - 15/8
United have lots of work to do if they are to make Chelsea sweat in the run-in and they were dealt a blow when their top goalscorer Elisabeth Terland suffered a broken wrist when on international duty with Norway.
It could still be another week before she is thrown back into league action, but someone’s loss always provides an opportunity for another and French striker Malvine Malard has been champing at the bit to get her chance for the Red Devils.
She made only her second league appearance of the season in their latest WSL game against Leicester City and she did not disappoint, scoring the first goal, which was her third of the campaign.
That is not a bad record considering that eight of her 10 league appearances have been less than half an hour and she was also on target in the 4-0 win United enjoyed over Liverpool earlier in the season.
She can reward the faith her manager has placed in her again by finding the target on Merseyside on Friday.
Olivia Smith to be booked - 12/5
Liverpool will be hoping that Canadian youngster Olivia Smith will be the star of the show at Anfield on Friday, but, while she has shone in the final third for the Reds in her debut WSL season, she has had her disciplinary issues in recent weeks.
She has found her way into the book in each of her last four league appearances, against Brighton, Leicester City, West Ham United and Crystal Palace, and there looks a strong chance that this clash will be even more competitive than that quartet of encounters.
Much pressure is likely to be placed on Smith's shoulders as Liverpool look to get something out of this game and that could make the 20-year-old vulnerable to another caution.
