Liverpool v Brentford: How to watch, TV channel, kick-off time, head-to-head stats and team news

Liverpool made a perfect start to life under Arne Slot by beating Ipswich 2-0 last Saturday and the Reds will be keen to continue their winning ways against Brentford this weekend in the new manager's first home game.

The Bees opened their season with a 2-1 derby win over Crystal Palace, so will also arrive in Merseyside high on confidence.

Liverpool v Brentford stats and head-to-head record (H2H)

Liverpool’s win over Ipswich means their unbeaten run in the Premier League now stands at five games, however, it is at Anfield where they boast the most unbelievable record.

The Reds have lost only one of their last 31 league matches on their own patch, winning an astonishing 24 times in that sensational run.

Given that record and the fact Brentford have lost 10 of their last 14 Premier League away games, the points seem likely to remain in Liverpool on Sunday.

Both teams to score has been a winning bet in six of the Bees’ last seven away league games and they have netted an impressive 14 goals in that run, so net-bulging action at both ends could be on the Anfield agenda this weekend.

Since being promoted to the Premier League, Brentford have won one and drawn one of their six clashes with the Reds, who have won to nil in all three of the home matches against the Bees in that run.

Liverpool v Brentford team news

Liverpool team news

Jarell Quansah was substituted at half-time against Ipswich after struggling to cope with Liam Delap’s physicality and his replacement in that match, Ibrahima Konate, should keep his place as the English defender has since picked up a knock in training.

Joe Gomez is nearing a return and could make the bench but with no further issues, Slot may name a similar lineup to the one which impressed in Suffolk.

Brentford team news

Ivan Toney is still on his way out so is unlikely to feature again, with long-term absentees Rico Henry, Josh Dasilva, Igor Thiago and Aaron Hickey all unavailable too.

New signing Sepp van den Berg will be looking to feature against his former club, as will young midfielder Fabio Carvalho, who made his debut from the bench against Palace.
