The new Ligue 1 season is fast approaching and the Racing Post's Aaron Rogan has picked out his three best outright tips for the new campaign.
The French top-flight is reeling from the departure of Kylian Mbappe, who was clearly established as the face of the league.
However, that could make the division more competitive, and there is hope that the chasing pack can put up more of a fight and potentially push the Parisians to the wire.
Win outright without PSG - Marseille - 7/2
Even a run to the semi-finals of the Europa League couldn't save Marseille's dismal 2023/24 campaign. The club cycled through four different managers on their way to an eighth-place finish - meaning they've missed out on European football altogether.
Despite the club slipping to such a low ebb, they've made some big swings this summer. It starts in the dugout, where they've brought in former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi.
The Italian was linked with Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea late last term, so coaxing him to the Velodrome is impressive.
De Zerbi will take charge of an improved Marseille side, with the club spending over £40million across five signings. More are believed to be on the way, with the club targeting further additions in defence and attack.
Marseille underperformed last term and an improved side should be targeting a return to Europe at the very minimum. De Zerbi has a track record of fast starts, taking Shakhtar Donetsk top of the table in his first campaign there. His best year with Brighton was his first, when they didn't have the distraction of Europe to deal with.
De Zerbi can get his style of play across quickly at the Velodrome, especially with the club upgrading their squad with the likes of Ismael Kone, Bamo Meite and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
OM aren't far removed from a second-placed finish, so back the new boss to take them back there.
Lyon top three finish - 10/3
Lyon faced the very real threat of relegation last term, sitting bottom of the table midway through the campaign. Both Laurent Blanc and Fabio Grosso were sacked by November, leaving unknown boss Pierre Sage to take temporary charge.
He worked wonders with Les Gones, taking them up the table with 15 wins in their final 20 matches. The club also made it to the French Cup final, only to lose out to PSG. Their campaign ended with the club earning a Europa League place.
However, in the second-half of the campaign, Lyon were playing at a title-contending pace. From the point that Sage took charge in late November to the end of the season, they claimed the joint-most points in Ligue 1 alongside PSG. After that brilliant finish, there's little reason Lyon can't kick on.
Alexandre Lacazette to score 20 or more goals - 4/1
A key part of Lyon's run was the form of Alexandre Lacazette, who finished joint-second behind Mbappe in the scoring charts. The forward struck 19 times but the 33-year-old is clearly expected to take a step back based on the prices available.
However, he was in fantastic form for Sage, with 16 of his 19 Ligue 1 goals coming under his watch and isn't expected to let up ahead of what could be his final season in France.
Lacazette is leading France's side at a home Olympics and he can return to last season's great form. He has scored 46 Ligue 1 goals in 64 games since returning to Lyon, so he's huge value for another 20-goal season.
