Leyton Orient kick off their EFL Trophy campaign with a home clash on Tuesday against Arsenal Under-21s in the Southern Section, Group E.
Orient have had a dismal start in League One, losing all four games to sit bottom of the table, although they have managed to progress to the third round of the EFL Cup after beating Newport County and Millwall.
Arsenal's Under-21s will be keen to test themselves against Richie Wellens' side as the Gunners youngsters aim to at least make it out of the group stage, like they did last term before losing to eventual winners Peterborough in the last 32.

Wellens is likely to field as strong a side as possible but is expected to make changes to the line-up that was beaten 3-0 by Shrewsbury on Saturday.
Omar Beckles, Diallang Jaiyesimi, Sonny Perkins and Lewis Warrington are among the players hoping for starts.
Arsenal's youngsters beat Aston Villa 4-1 on Friday and it is thought plenty of the academy players who featured in that victory will start against Orient.
Brian Okonkwo is set to be named in goal, while there should also be starts for Elian Quesada-Thorn, Jimi Gower, Salah-Eddine Oulad M'Hand, Nathan Butler-Oyedeji and Seb Ferdinand.
