Leicester City v Manchester United: Free Tips, Prediction and Odds

Manchester United are having a forgettable season but their problems do not appear as grave as those of Leicester City, who are staring an immediate return to the Championship in the face and may not get anything from their clash against the Red Devils at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Manchester United to win - 5/6

It sometimes seems tough to back Manchester United to win a Premier League game at odds-on these days, but Ruben Amorim’s side should be able to claim three points from their trip to Leicester City on Sunday.

This has been a disastrous season for the Foxes and former Old Trafford hero Ruud van Nistelrooy has won just three of his 17 games in charge, with one of those coming against Championship Queens Park Rangers, who Leicester look set to face again in the second tier next term.

The statistics make dismal reading for the Foxes faithful as they have lost 12 of their last 13 league games, scored just twice in their last eight outings - both of them came in a 2-1 win at Tottenham - and the home fans have not seen their team score a goal since a 2-2 draw with Brighton on 8th December.

Six home league games have been and gone since then and while they were unfortunate to lose out at Old Trafford to a late Harry Maguire goal that was clearly offside in the FA Cup, they are unlikely to get anything here against a team that have lost just one of their seven away matches in 2025 and should have been buoyed by a 4-1 win over Real Sociedad in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.

Bruno Fernandes to score at any time - 2/1

United’s season has been underwhelming but it could have been a lot worse had it not been for some telling contributions from midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

The Portuguese playmaker was the star of the show against Real Sociedad on Thursday with three goals, two of which came from the penalty spot, and he has made a telling contribution throughout the campaign, scoring 15 goals.

He came up with the goods with a fine free-kick in last week’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal and also netted an equaliser against Fulham in the FA Cup, even though Amorim’s side were ultimately left disappointed as the Cottagers progressed to the quarter-finals after a penalty shootout.

Fernandes enjoyed his afternoon when these two met in the league in November as he scored the opener and had an assist in the 3-0 win over the Foxes, and it would not be a huge surprise if he made his way onto the scoresheet again on Sunday.

Under 9.5 corners - 1/1

Before this weekend’s fixtures, no Premier League team had forced fewer corners than Leicester with an average of just 3.54 per game and it looks a bit of a push for the flag-kick count in this game to reach double figures.

United’s games average 9.75 corners per match while Leicester’s have reached 9.96, but the Red Devils are just ninth in the table for flag-kicks with a mean figure of five per game, which goes down to 4.69 per contest when they are on their travels.

Amorim’s side will be expected to dominate proceedings at the King Power, but that might not be reflected in the corner count, so punters should consider taking the under in this instance.
