Leicester City v Bournemouth: Prediction, Tips and Odds

Leicester City are still looking for their first Premier League victory since gaining promotion and entertain Bournemouth at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

The Cherries should be buoyed by their 3-1 win over Southampton on Monday and Antoine Semenyo looks poised to continue his excellent start to the campaign.

Leicester City v Bournemouth betting tips and predictions

Over 3.5 goals - 13/8

Leicester have yet to taste victory since they made their return to the Premier League, but there should be some encouragement from the way Steve Cooper’s team have gone close in their recent matches.

The Foxes gave Arsenal a real scare at the Emirates last week as the Gunners, who had been cruising at 2-0 up, needed two injury-time goals to claim a 4-2 victory, while the Midlanders were two goals ahead against Crystal Palace before having to settle for a point.

Goals have been a bit of a theme in their matches this term and both teams have found the net in each of their six outings, which points towards another entertaining game when Bournemouth head to the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

The Cherries have conceded at least twice in 10 of their last 14 league matches on the road which is a red flag when thinking whether they can leave with the points, but their confidence should be up after their 3-1 win over another promoted team, Southampton, on Monday.

Just four of their last 15 away games have failed to generate three goals and Andoni Iraola’s side have already been involved in one of the most stirring games of the season when they came back to win 3-2 at Everton despite being 2-0 down with just three minutes of their Goodison Park clash remaining.

Goals look likely in this one and it is worth taking a chance that two teams can score at least four times between them.

Antoine Semenyo to score at any time - 12/5

The win over Southampton was Bournemouth’s second of the campaign, but while it has taken the team a little while to find their feet, Antoine Semenyo has made a striking impression.

The Ghanaian scored his third goal of the season in Monday’s victory, but the most striking statistics of his season is that he has had 28 efforts on goal this term - Erling Haaland is the only player to have had more.

Semenyo even tried his luck four times in the 3-0 defeat at Liverpool, when he had a goal disallowed that would have put Bournemouth into the lead.

Confidence is definitely not an issue and he should be full of beans heading to the King Power to face a team who have conceded an average of two goals per game this season, so there looks a good chance he can add to his tally.

Wilfred Ndidi to be booked - 11/4

Wilfred Ndidi is an interesting player in Saturday’s yellow-card market because the Nigerian midfielder has committed nearly twice as many fouls than any of his Leicester teammates in the Foxes’ opening six matches.

Ndidi has started all of those games and he is likely to put in another highly committed performance with former Tottenham pair Harry Winks and Oliver Skipp competing for starting slots in the middle of the park.

He picked up yellow cards in the draw at Palace, where he committed four fouls, and in last week’s defeat at Arsenal and he could find himself in the book for a third time this season on Saturday.
