Kilmarnock have it all to do if they are to qualify for the main draw of the UEFA Conference League as they must avenge a 2-0 first-leg deficit against Danish outfit FC Copenhagen.
Killie will be buoyed by having knocked Norwegian outfit Tromso out in the last round, but this is a very different test against Copenhagen, a side blessed with recent UEFA Champions League experience.
They were in the UEFA Champions League group stages only last season and they mixed it with Bayern Munich and Manchester United on that occasion, winning at home to the Red Devils.
The Danish side needed a 76th-minute penalty from Kevin Diks to break the deadlock at home last week, before Rasmus Falk gave them some breathing space in the tie as he scored with the final kick of the game deep into stoppage time.
The match will be broadcast live on SolidSport.
Kilmarnock v FC Copenhagen kicks off at 19:00 BST on Thursday 29th August at Rugby Park, Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire.
Copenhagen’s 2-0 win over Kilmarnock at Venue Parken last Thursday was the first competitive meeting between the sides.
Killie have now lost four of their last five matches to nil, suffering back-to-back 2-0 defeats against Copenhagen and Aberdeen.
The Danish side have lost only one of their 11 competitive matches this season and they have conceded only one goal across their five Conference League qualifiers.
Both teams have scored in only one of Kilmarnock’s last eight matches, while the net has bulged at both ends in only two of Copenhagen’s last six.
