Juventus v Atalanta: Predictions, Tips and Odds

Juventus may not be firing on all cylinders, but with their home form generally good, they should have too much against visitors Atalanta on Sunday.

Juve's 1-0 loss to Inter Milan on 4th February all but ended the Bianconeri's Scudetto hopes and they are now just one point ahead of third-placed AC Milan.

The Rossoneri host Empoli on Sunday and their 4/9 to win shows how well-favoured they are to take all three points against the relegation-threatened Tuscans.

Unlike Juve, Atalanta have been in midweek action, drawing 1-1 against Sporting Lisbon in the last 16 of the Europa League.

La Dea have failed to win their last three in Serie A, albeit a quirk of the fixture list means those games have come against three of the top four.

The Bianconeri complete the set on Sunday, in a renewal of a fixture that finished 3-3 last season.

Juventus v Atalanta betting tips and predictions

Juventus to win and both teams to score - 4/1

Juve's record of nine wins from 13 home outings deserves respect and is far superior to Atalanta's four victories from the same number of games on the road.

However, La Dea have scored in five of their last six away games in all competitions and Juve's defensive issues have been highlighted by their failure to keep clean sheets in their last six games.

Massimiliano Allegri was clearly enjoying his media duel with Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi when his side were still in the Scudetto race, but has lost some of his mojo in recent weeks.

With Milan closing in, Allegri may take extra motivation from trying to finish ahead of his former club, while the chance to beat another team pushing for a European finish can never be taken for granted.

A repeat of last season's 3-3 draw in Turin is unlikely but there is real value in backing Juve to edge an entertaining game.

Teuns Koopmeiners anytime goalscorer @ 5/1

A key reason for thinking that Atalanta could score is the form of Teuns Koopmeiners.

Juve have been heavily linked with Koopmeiners in recent months and the speculation could give him additional motivation on Sunday.

The Dutchman is a lovely, understated and elegant playmaker who has developed admirably since signing from AZ Alkmaar in 2021.

After playing in a deeper role as a six or an eight in North Holland, he took a while to adapt to featuring further forward under Gian Piero Gasperini.

However, he is now vital to La Dea's attacking play and produced seven goals in six games between 7th January and 25th February.

Koopmeiners has failed to add to his tally in his team's last three outings but the chance to show Juventus what they are missing may bring out the best in him in Turin.

Still only 26, the Dutchman's career is on the up and he is one to watch at the Allianz Stadium.

Marten De Roon to be booked @ 13/8

Koopemeiners' poise on the ball is balanced by fellow midfielder Marten de Roon's persistence when trying to win it back.

The former Middlesbrough man openly admits to enjoying the dirty work required to bring the best out of his Oranje team-mate and their colleagues.

De Roon's doggedness has resulted in him receiving 11 yellow cards this season, with his nine in Serie A, leaving him level with a glut of players behind the league's leading bad boys.

Fiorentina's Luca Ranieri (11 yellow cards), Roma's Leandro Paredes (11) and Lecce's Ylber Ramadani (10).

The 32-year-old's busy and occasionally ungainly style makes him a magnet for referees and he is sure to be in the thick of the action on Sunday.
