Inter Milan v Napoli stats and head-to-head record (H2H)

Wednesday's Champions League loss to Atletico Madrid was Inter's first defeat of any sorts this calendar year and it also ended a 13-match winning run across all competitions for Simone Inzaghi's side.

Inter are still on a 22-match unbeaten run in Serie A, winning 19 of those games, including each of the previous 10 since drawing with Genoa on 29th December.

The Nerazzurri also boast the best home record in the division and are on course to land their 20th league championship this season.

Napoli lifted the Scudetto last season for the third time in their history but they have struggled to defend their title, starting this weekend sitting seventh in the standings, a full 31 points behind Inter.

The Partenopei are on their third manager of the season after parting ways with both Rudi Garcia and Walter Mazzarri, but current boss Francesco Calzona does appear to have steadied the ship as he is yet to lose any of his four Serie A matches in charge.

Inter Milan team news

After seeing his side taken to extra time and penalties in Madrid, Inzaghi is likely to make changes for this one, with Davide Frattesi and Yann Bisseck among the players hoping to earn a starting berth.

Wing-back Carlos Augusto could also feature after recovering from a muscular issue, but Marko Arnautovic, Juan Cuadrado and Stefano Sensi remain unavailable.

Napoli team news

Napoli's main fitness concern surrounds top scorer Victor Osimhen, who is suffering from muscle fatigue off the back of Tuesday's Champions League loss to Barcelona.

Giovanni Simeone is on standby to replace the Nigerian in the starting XI, while Piotr Zielinski, who is expected to join Inter when his Napoli contract expires this summer, could also come into contention.
