Inter Milan face a tough test on Sunday as they continue their bid to retain the Serie A title, with visiting Roma arriving on the back of a 16-game unbeaten run.
The Nerazzurri have felt the impact of their busy fixture schedule of late, with two damaging defeats hurting their chances of silverware - they lost 1-0 at Bologna in the league last weekend, while they exited the Coppa Italia with a 3-0 loss to AC Milan in midweek.
Inter will have an eye on their UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg with Barcelona this week, but they can’t afford to lose focus in the league.
Napoli are level on points with the Nerazzurri heading into the weekend, with Antonio Conte’s side hoping to prey on Inter’s tired legs.
Roma or draw double chance - 21/20
Roma emerged as Serie A’s early crisis club, sacking two managers by November after a busy summer transfer window.
However, Claudio Ranieri returned to his boyhood club to stabilise things and has turned their season around, leading them to within three points of the UEFA Champions League spots.
Roma make the trip to Milan unbeaten in the league since mid-December. They haven’t lost in their previous 17 league matches, which has pushed them from the bottom half into the European mix.
The scale of the turnaround under Ranieri is remarkable, as Roma have the best record in Serie A in 2025 by some distance.
They’ve won five points more than any other side since the turn of the year despite playing a game fewer than Inter.
Roma have won 11 of their 15 league games this year, firmly establishing themselves as one of the top sides in Italy. That makes them a difficult proposition for the Nerazzurri, as the Serie A champions have come under fire of late for their struggles in big games domestically.
Inter have failed to win all five meetings with AC Milan this season, while they’ve dropped points at home in three of their four clashes with the top five, so, given Roma’s magnificent run, take them to avoid defeat.
1-1 Draw - 6/1
Roma have scored exactly once in each of their previous six league games. Ranieri’s side have been excellent defensively in that run, winning four of those games 1-0, while they held Juventus and Lazio to 1-1 draws.
While Inter have suffered consecutive losses, they should be able to get something from this game. Another 1-1 draw is the standout option, given that Inter have recorded score draws against Napoli, Bologna and Juventus at home this season.
Roma have drawn four of their six visits to the top 10, so back a 1-1 draw at 6/1.
Matias Soule to score or assist and Bryan Cristante to be booked - 10/1
Matias Soule pushed for a move to Roma over a switch to Premier League side Leicester City last summer and that insistence has panned out well.
The Argentinian had a slow start to life in the Italian capital, but he’s earned a starting place of late, partnering Artem Dovbyk up top.
Soule scored in the draw with Lazio, while he assisted the winner against Verona last time out. The forward has recorded at least three shot-creating actions in his last five games, while he has recorded a shot on target in three of his last four.
Partner Soule with a booking for Bryan Cristante, who has seven cautions to his name in the league this season.
The midfielder was sent off in Roma’s UEFA Europa League clash with FC Porto earlier this year, while he was booked in the first meeting with Inter this term.
