Locked on four points apiece, a draw would see Palmeiras take first place in Group A on goal difference, but the Brazilian side are favourites to take all three points against an Inter Miami side that are fortunate to be in this position.
Buoyed by a slice of trademark magic from Lionel Messi, Inter Miami beat FC Porto last time out, leaving them on the brink of qualifying for the knockout stages.

Palmeiras started slowly against Al Ahly in their last outing, but, buoyed by an early own goal in the second half, the Brazilian side dominated after the break, eventually coasting to a 2-0 win and limiting the Saudi side to just 0.29 expected goals.
Alviverde were unfortunate not to beat FC Porto in their Club World Cup opener, too, winning the shot count 17-11 and generating 2.08 expected goals to FC Porto’s 0.78.
Inter Miami saw fortune shine on them when they met the Portuguese side, coming from behind to win 2-1 courtesy of a Lionel Messi free-kick.
The MLS outfit have lost on expected goals in both their Club World Cup games, generating just 1.5 expected goals to their opponents’ 3.63.
With top spot in Group A on the line, expect Palmeiras’ quality to shine through at the Hard Rock Stadium.
Alex Wrigley explains:
Lionel Messi’s brilliance has put Inter Miami on the verge of qualifying for the knockout stages, but they have been second best in both their Club World Cup ties so far, and Palmeiras were unfortunate not to beat Porto in their opener. The Brazilian side look good value to end the group stages with a win.
The Club World Cup is teenage sensation Estevao’s last dance for Palmeiras before he moves to Chelsea, and the winger has been unfortunate not to register at least one goal contribution so far.
He has had five shots - four from inside the box - and headed to the United States having registered three assists in his last seven Brazil Serie A games. He will be a huge threat against Inter Miami, and his dribbling prowess could land Inter Miami left-back Jordi Alba in hot water.
The former Barcelona full-back has been limited to one substitute appearance so far, but he should be fit to start against Palmeiras, and he will be tasked with keeping Estevao quiet. The winger has been fouled once or more in seven of his last eight appearances, while Alba has been booked four times in the MLS this season.

Alex Wrigley adds:
Two stars at opposite ends of their career make for the most intriguing battle in Miami as Chelsea-bound teenager Estevao faces off against veteran left-back Jordi Alba. Estevao has had five shots so far and should get the better of Alba, who is returning from injury and may not have the legs to keep pace with the 18-year-old.

Inter Miami suffered fresh injury blows against Porto as Ian Fray and Marcelo Weigandt were forced off, joining Drake Callender, Gonzalo Lujan, Yannick Bright, and David Ruiz on the sidelines.
Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez are expected to partner up again up front for the MLS side, though, with fellow former Barcelona stars Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets also featuring.
Expected Inter Miami line-up (4-4-2): Ustari; Aviles, Falcon, Allen, Alba; Allende, Cremaschi, Busquets, Segovia; Suarez, Messi.
Estevao’s swansong for Palmeiras before his move to Chelsea should continue as he joins forces with Vitor Roque and Raphael Veiga in the Palmeiras attack, although former West Ham winger Felipe Anderson was benched for the Brazilian side against Al Ahly and may miss out again. Expected Palmeiras lineup:
Expected Palmeiras line-up (3-4-3): Weverton; Giay, Gomez, Murilo; Torres; Rios, Moreno, Piquerez; Estevao, Veiga, Roque.
