Germany hammered Bosnia-Herzegovina 7-0 on Saturday to seal top spot in Group A3 of the Nations League and now they finish off with a trip to Hungary, who have a relegation play-off game to come next spring.
Germany's record Nations League win means they cannot be caught at the top of the group and Julian Nagelsmann's side know they now have a quarter-final to look forward to in March.
Hungary, in contrast, will finish third in the group after their 4-0 defeat against the Netherlands and they must try and come through a relegation play-off next year in order to preserve their top-tier Nations League status.
Under 2.5 goals - 5/4
Germany's 7-0 rout of Bosnia-Herzegovina over the weekend was a record victory in the Nations League, but with their place as Group A3 winners assured and Hungary's position in third place in the section also confirmed, Tuesday's clash in Budapest is a dead rubber.
That means the motivation from both sets of players is likely to be low at the Puskas Arena and a drab affair could well play out.
Those selected will be keen to avoid injury before returning to their clubs and with nothing riding on the outcome of the game, entertainment may be at a premium.
The Germans, who are through to the Nations League finals for the first time, hammered the Magyars 5-0 at home, so Hungary will attempt to exact some revenge, but with plenty of changes expected in both camps, a disjointed final group game could play out.
Under 2.5 goals has been rare in this group with just four of the matches so far in the section producing just two or fewer goals, but this could be an evening where the action in the final third dries up.
Interestingly, before Die Mannschaft's big win earlier in the group, the three previous meetings between the countries all produced under 2.5 goals, including earlier this summer when they met at Euro 2024 when hosts Germany won 2-0 in the group stage.
Leroy Sane to score anytime - 11/5
Sane is a player in need of more minutes this season as the Bayern Munich winger has only started once in the Bundesliga and boss Nagelsmann is being tipped to hand him a rare start on Tuesday for Germany.
Sane, who has scored 14 goals in 66 caps for his country, came off the bench to net the sixth goal against Bosnia-Herzegovina at the weekend and he will be looking to build on that in Budapest.
Sane knows he must try to shake off his tag of being a bit-part player for both club and country, and there's no better way of doing that than by finding the net and making a big impact in the final third on Tuesday.
Dominik Szoboszlai to be booked - 11/2
Hungary captain Dominic Szoboszlai will not only be tasked with trying to create for the hosts but he will also be expected to put in a solid defensive shift at the Puskas Arena.
Szoboszlai will try to halt some swift attacks from the dangerous visitors, who will want to finish the group campaign on a high with an away win.
A card could well be coming the Liverpool midfielder's way on Tuesday as he tries to get control of the midfield, and he's been no stranger to a caution this season at club level, having picked up three for the Reds so far.
The 24-year-old has been booked nine times in 50 appearances for Hungary and that tally may well move into double figures against Germany.
