Celtic were supreme in their first match of the Scottish Premiership season last week when they beat Kilmarnock 4-0, so confidence will not be an issue as they head to Edinburgh to take on Hibernian.
Hibs suffered a setback with a 3-0 opening loss at St Mirren, but they can make their presence felt after finishing last season strongly on their own patch.
Celtic to win & both teams to score - 13/8
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers could not have wished for a better start to the Scottish Premiership season after his team took advantage of Rangers’ inability to beat Hearts last week by thumping improving Kilmarnock in their opener.
And it is no surprise to see the Bhoys at a short price to ease to victory at Hibernian, whose opening-weekend fortunes could not have been more different as they fell to a 3-0 defeat at St Mirren.
So David Gray’s team will be desperate to put up a show against the champions and they should be encouraged by the fact they won four of their final six matches of last season’s league campaign.
Admittedly, three of those wins came after they had been allocated a bottom-half place following the split and taking on the Bhoys is a completely different matter, but they have scored in six of their last seven league outings at Easter Road, which included a 2-1 loss to Celtic in February.
The visitors can generally be relied upon to pack their shooting boots for their travels and 11 of their last 13 away league games have featured at least three goals.
However, they have kept clean sheets in just two of their last eight league away and while they cruised against Killie, it coils still take some time for the defence to get used to playing with new goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, who has replaced the retired Joe Hart, so celtic winning with both teams scoring is worth considering.
Kyogo Furuhashi anytime goalscorer - 5/6
Celtic’s Japanese striker Kyogo Furuhashi was unable to get in on the goalscoring act against Kilmarnock, but it seems only a matter of time before he opens his account for the campaign.
Furuhashi got last season off to a flyer when he scored in four of his opening five matches and was determined to hit the ground running again last week as he had eight efforts at goal in the 4-0 win, three of which were on target.
That came after a strong end to last season when he tested the goalkeeper in 12 of his final 13 games, a run in which he scored six times.
In all, he netted 17 goals last term and this looks an ideal opportunity for him to get off the mark for this season.
Nathan Moriah-Welsh to be booked - 13/5
Hibs midfielder Nathan Moriah-Welsh has already received one yellow card this season after going in the book at St Mirren last week and he looks set for another tough afternoon during which he could again walk a disciplinary tightrope.
He committed three fouls last week and was pulled up at least twice in six of his 13 appearances last season after joining from Premier League Bournemouth in the last January transfer window.
Moriah-Welsh will be in the heart of the Hibs midfield which means he will be in for a lot of hard work and he may be cautioned, just as he was when Hibs fell to a 2-1 defeat against Celtic in his second game for the club in February.
