Harrogate Town and Wrexham will both be hoping to continue their FA Cup journey beyond the first round when they meet at Exercise Stadium on Sunday.
The picturesque North Yorkshire town will host a cup clash between a Harrogate side who have been struggling for goals of late in League Two, while Wrexham are battling for automatic promotion from League One.
A one-sided encounter might well be on the cards in this one, with the visitors fancied to progress the second round at a canter, while Town focus on getting much-needed points on the board in the league.
Wrexham to win to nil - 7/4
A lack of goals have been the issue in recent weeks for the Sulphurites and that might well continue on Sunday in the FA Cup.
Harrogate have only scored once in their last three League Two games, failing to score in their last two outings against Port Vale and Notts County.
Meanwhile, the Red Dragons have managed to keep three clean sheets in their last four games in all competitions, with Phil Parkinson’s side looking strong at the back.
Conceding just 10 goals in their first 13 League One games of the season so far, no side in the competition has conceded fewer.
These sides played out a goalless draw the last time these sides met in League Two last season, but Wrexham have improved significantly since then and can come out on top on Sunday.
While Parkinson is likely to tinker with his selection ahead of the trip to North Yorkshire, that defensive rigidity should remain and Wrexham look more than capable of winning to nil against a somewhat toothless Harrogate side.
Paul Mullin anytime goalscorer - 6/5
Once the main man at the Racecourse Ground when the Red Dragons were climbing up through the National League and League Two, Paul Mullin has been used more sparingly at the start of this season.
The 29-year-old has made just four starts in the league this season, while coming off the bench seven times.
Parkinson is likely to hand the forward a starting role, with Mullin’s cup experience set to prove valuable in a game like this at Exercise Stadium.
Mullin has scored in seven of Wrexham’s last 10 games in the FA Cup and clearly has a liking for this competition.
Scoring 10 goals in those last 10 FA Cup games for the Red Dragons, Mullin is good value to add at least one more to his tally on Sunday.
Over 10 corners - 6/5
Looking to the corner market, going for over 10 corners in what should be a one-sided affair appeals here.
A quick look at Wrexham’s corner stats in League One shows the Red Dragons have had an average of 9.15 corners per game.
As for Harrogate’s stats, the North Yorkshire outfit have an average of 10.36 corners per game in League Two this season.
Looking at last season’s League Two encounters between these sides, there were 11 corners in their game at Harrogate and 13 goals in their last meeting in Wrexham.
With Wrexham expected to create plenty of chances in this weekend’s encounter, there would be little surprise to see over 10 corners earned in this FA Cup first round clash.
