France v Poland Prediction, Tips and Odds: 11/4 for Griezmann to assist

France have faced some criticism since their dull 0-0 draw with the Netherlands. but they should register a victory and a few goals against Group D basement boys Poland in Dortmund.

The battle for Group D supremacy is an intriguing three-way scrap and France will be aiming for top spot by targeting a convincing victory over already eliminated Poland at the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund.

France have taken four points but they have left their fans wanting more by scoring only one goal.

However, they are well-placed to advance and are expected to be boosted by the return of Kylian Mbappe, who is set to play with a mask to protect the broken nose sustained during the 1-0 success over Austria.

Poland could also be bolstered by the inclusion of a world-class forward with Robert Lewandowski in the mix to start his first game of the tournament.

However, the Poles have lost their opening two games and can no longer qualify for the round of 16.

France v Poland betting tips and predictions

France and both teams to score - 2/1

France are coming under some pressure from their domestic media due to a perceived cautious style of play, but they can answer a few critics with a high-scoring win over Poland.

Les Bleus head coach Didier Deschamps is not the sort of person who caves in to outside pressures, but he may see the value in going with a more offensive approach to improve France’s chances of a successful tournament.

Deschamps’ side sit second in Group D due to scoring fewer goals than the Netherlands.

However, they will be keen to finish top and avoid ending up in the same half of the draw as heavyweight trio Germany, Spain and Portugal.

France are sure to be aiming for a big win to give themselves the best chance of overhauling the Dutch and they will be assisted by the return of Mbappe.

However, by playing in a more attacking manner, France could offer up a few opportunities to a Polish side spearheaded by Lewandowski.

The Poles can no longer qualify but they will be keen to perform in front of their vocal supporters and can give them some cheer by scoring for a third successive game.

Antoine Griezmann to assist at least one goal - 11/4

Antoine Griezmann was among the French attackers who struggled to make an impact in the 0-0 draw with the Netherlands, but he should have a more influential game against Poland and looks overpriced to contribute at least one assist.

The 33-year-old was kept largely quiet by the Dutch, but he should be afforded more space by Poland, who will have the returning Mbappe at the forefront of their minds.

Mbappe is sure to attract plenty of attention from Polish defenders, but he will keep on making positive runs because he knows that his team-mates are capable of finding him.

And the most reliable service will probably come from Griezmann, who has delivered 38 assists in 131 international appearances.

He also takes the majority of France’s set-pieces and has every chance of producing at least one decisive moment.

Bartosz Slisz to be carded - 10/3

Poland are likely to be on the back foot for long periods and they may have to make a few robust challenges to stem the flow of French attacks.

Midfielder Bartosz Slisz was one of four Polish players to be booked in the 3-1 loss to Austria and he looks the likeliest to receive another caution.

The Atlanta United player has been yellow carded five times in his last eight appearances for club and country.
