Another player who is worth keeping an eye on at the Stadion Feijenoord ‘De Kuip’ on Wednesday is home striker Santiago GImenez, who has found a purple patch of form.

The Mexican centre forward has scored seven goals in his last eight appearances for the Eredivisie outfit, finding the net in his last two UEFA Champions League outings against Manchester City and Sparta Prague.

He also scored a hat-trick in their 5-2 league win over Heracles before the winter break and has had at least two shots on target in four of his last six appearances.

With a total of 18 goal efforts in those matches, confidence is plainly not an issue and he can test Manuel Neuer at least twice in this week’s clash.
